learn web design
A question about this goal: I can't afford to go back to school and I work a full-time job. Does anyone know of night classes available in the denver area? Something I wouldn't have to commit years to? June 5th, 2010 07:11

Answers:

There are a number of online classes you can take to get into web design and development- that’s what I did.

Try IWA- http://iwa-hwg.eclasses.org/
Their classes are around 6-8 weeks and you can work on the coursework at your own pace. Their instructors are also very helpful if you have questions.

W3Schools have free tutorials: http://www.w3schools.com/

If you want a more intensive course, Full Sail university has a web program: http://www.fullsail.edu/degrees/web-design-development-bachelors

Also, search the web. There are so many design and development magazines, blogs, etc with tutorials on how to do things. It also helps to look at the code on your favorite web pages and learn how they structure things. There are plenty of free XTHML/CSS templates that you can download and play with to learn more techniques.

Good luck!
