It’s all about time and effort. The system is probably the least important. Find something that looks good to you and dive in!
I used busuu to help learn vocabulary, but I really don’t think you can learn Spanish only using busuu.
It’s a tool, not a complete language-learning package.
I’ve had good results with a combination of:
busuu.com (increase vocabulary)
livemocha.com (loads of friends made to chat with in Spanish)
Michel Thomas CDs (learn grammar)
Learn Spanish Like Crazy CDs (learn grammar and vocab)
Some 1-on-1 classes with Spanish tutors. I’d take more if I could.
Immersing myself in Spanish websites, books, etc.
