Yes… unless you are like 13-15 or younger. Only because I think you grow up a lot in those years and I was a completely different person at 19 than I was even when I was 17.

It totally depends. One thing it depends on is how old you are. If you are 17, and the guy is 20, that might be too much. But if you are 47 and the guy is 50 it doesn’t make much difference at all.

As long as you both are old and mature enough yes. For adults, that is nothing. But for instance, a 12 year old with a 15 year old, not a good idea generally.

I’d say it’d be best when you’re hitting the age to date, is to date people who are in your age/class in school. People who are 17 right now are almost ready for college and have been through a lot more than you. It puts you in a position of “looking up” to them when the purpose of dating at your age is learning about yourself at a peer level, with people who are going through the same things as you.

Once you’re an adult, age difference is not so important.
