A question about this goal: how on earth do you get your lower abs/hips fit? February 14th, 2006 18:51

Answers:

Running. A lot. I guarentee you if you run consistently and as a workout, which of course makes you use effort of energy and srength, you will get everything oyu want.
Okease not that of course that you can never slim your hips more than they are built to be, of course.

Run every day and run hard, I can give you more advice if you’d like it.
I ran before I had any muscles on my entire body. It built Deltoids, tricepts, all of the logs (rediculously strong calves) and I earned an 8 pack of the abs.

E-mail me if you would like any more details!

wow! how long do you run every day to get like that, then? cause i run about 2 or 3 days a week for about 25 minutes, but my friend also suggested i run EVERY day for 30 minutes!

i just mainly want to get rid of a little bit of love handles, haha

well, I run cross country and track for my school, (we won second in the state for cross country by the way :) )

If you run every day,and I’d say at least 3 miles a day and you are not just “jogging” for fun, you will need to excersize (speed, not sprinting, distance.. start with your begginer of course) and then you will get results over time. This is nothing instant and it shouldn’t be. Commit to once every day. Runnign is the most pure sport there is. what you pour in comes out. You have to believe in it.

I’ve got answers to every question about running you may have. E-mail me at rmv3721@tampabay.rr.com and it will be easier to respond. I’ll wish you luck, and gladly help you!

I’d stay, but i gootta get to sleep. later

I dance, constantly doing crunches you can do them all day whatever your doing you can make it exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!

im a dancer and i excercise 6 days a week. i walk an hour a day, and i dont really eat that much. only about 600-1,000 calories a day. i eat healthy too. but i am still 10 pounds overweight. well thats what i think. but all my friends think im crazy.

does anyone know how to lose 10 pounds in 2-3 weeks?!!!!!
help

Are you strength training? Are you varying the stuff you do? You can do a million hours of hard-core interval training cardio and you still need to lift weights to really focus on a particular body part. Even if you don’t see results immediatley, you will feel tighter in your abs and hips if you target them with a specific routine you’ve never done before. Change it up when you stop feeling stiff after your routine. Sometimes it takes a long time to figure out what moves work specifically for you, buts its worth the research.

Some diet pills target lower body. SAN’s Tight for example. It targets some receptors that stimulate fat accumulation in the lower body.

Also, keep in mind that diet is 80% of your success. Not a calory restrictive diet, but the right diet for your metabolism. I tried them all – LOW CARB rocks. I suggest you look into it, it’s easy, it’s a lifestyle, and allows almost every food other than grains and sugar. check atkins.com and lowcarbpavilion.com for more info.

I lost pounds around the muscles I worked for for years, finally exposing them. It’s so motivating to see the results!

but arent diet pills bad for your health? you can get a heart attack

Abs – crunches, leg lifts, situps, twists

Hips – skiing, running, biking, swimming.

haha thanks! sounds great
how many crunches/leg lifts do you suggest i should do?

MindLikeSieve

Do as many as you can. Then, later in the same day, do as many as you can, again. Keep doing that until you can easily pump out 100 reps at a time. Once you get there, do two or three sets of 100 reps every day.

Its what I do.
