yes, you do need to know at least major JE in Gov and NFT (budgets, encumbrances).

I went 2-3 times throuth MQ and more over F4-7. 4 months ago

It’s all about going through the whole material once and then drill down on weak areas. Then the luck of the draw. 5 months ago

I’m using Becker 2011 as well. I didn’t bother with IFRS the first time I did the MQ. After I was solid on GAAP, I started to go through each chapter and take notes about IFRS and tried to remember as much as possible. 5 months ago

Anna_stefanifeel better!

I didn’t feel like it helped me too much, but knowing the JE really helps. I even had a SIM on IFRS, maybe a pre-test? 8 months ago

Yes, so close every time! Most most painful was the 74. Re-match tomorrow with BEC.

I did take FAR on 8/11 and really I knew I cannot pass. I have not study NFP and have not done the supplemental questions in Becker. I just pushed myself to get through the Becker book as much I could before due date:))

I got a 67. It’s ok I think and I was expecting it.
I think it’s a more doable exam than BEC, no joke!

Yes, baby is due in 2 weeks:)) luckily I will have help at home and I should buckle down for FAR. 9 months ago

I am taking BEC on Wednesday. I failed with 70, 72 and 74 in the past.
I just did tonight the 2012 AICPA released questions and only scored 60%! So many things that I have not seen in Becker and Wiley, mostly non-calculation problems.

I need to do whatever I can to pass BEC this time, time is running short.

Gleim is mostly math driven, basically MQ for the CMA exam.

I am more scared now of the Wednesday exam! 9 months ago

I’ll stick with Aug 11 FARE exam date. I put together a very daring study schedule.
Hoping to be done with F6 tonight.

I have 2 long weekend coming up (took 2 Fridays off) and couple of days before 8/11 for final review.

I want to push myself to get through the whole material even if I don’t have time for all supplemental MQ in Becker. I also got Wiley test bank, but I doubt I will have much time for it, if any.

Worse case scenario is that I will fail, but if I keep postponing this exam it will never get done.
I am just afraid that every time you sit for a section and fail, next time it gets harder…. 10 months ago

Well, something has to give. Either fun or study ;)
In general people need 20-35 hrs of solid study per week to pass. 11 months ago

That what I did with BEC. I postponed FAR because felt I can pas BEC …mistake. I stilled failed and now FAR is my next thing to do. 11 months ago

For me it works to do longer sessions at night instead of breaking down into morning and night sessions. I get into a routine and warm up and if I were to stop and do some in the AM I would waste more time waking up, remembering where I left off etc. 11 months ago

$112,000/7/4= $4,000

furniture and fixtures are 7 yrs MACRS and b/c of Dec 2011 placed in service, the mid quarter convention applies…so /4

The mid-quarter convention applies to all property placed in service during the year if more than 40% of the total depreciable basis is placed in service in the fourth quarter of the year (yes, all of it in Dec, which is Q4). 11 months ago

me too! I am wrapping up F4 tonight. I think I might skip the supplemental stuff and move forward to F5 and do the supplemental in the final review. What do you people think? 11 months ago
