CaribbeanBreezeVery healing

Ah Facebook. Twitter. Tumblr. No. I’m not with you. I don’t miss you. Instead I read books. Watch sunsets. Take photos. Be with the family, friends, animals – in real life!

Obviously we all are online to some degree. I’m doing a course. I’ve got email. I’m here! There are games too! They’re fun!

Slowly I’m letting go of so much we clutter our lives with online. I never realised how many mailing lists I delete until I was offline for a week.

But all those superficial things we think we need or should have… the facebooks of the world: “How you do nurture me?” “What do I get from you?” If it’s fun, great. If it’s a chore – release it. 1 day ago

CaribbeanBreezeHA!

Hubby loves colour too so he decided to go with a “Hue” rather than the more drastic approach I took. I hate decisions so mine is easier for me.

If you love colour, do you have a “hue” they fall under? My hubby loves Autumn, so his are all autumnal and they all go together from jeans & a tee to pants & a jacket. You could be any of the seasons, or perhaps a Metallic. Some colours blend well with gold and not with silver for example. Or your theme could be “cosy” or “sexy” – whatever makes you “FEEL” good. After all, simplifying is good, but it only works if in the end you enjoy your life.

I’m currently applying “How does this nurture me” to many things that get in the “in-between” piles of keep v’s toss. You could have “How do I feel wearing this?” So many themes!

You sound like you’re full of life so don’t limit yourself, just redefine yourself so you can live life to the fullest! :)

Can’t wait to see how you go! xox 1 day ago

CaribbeanBreezeYes!!

It’s very empowering.

Take the time to develop a wardrobe of staples and of specials that are just you. Your colours, your styles. From classics to comfies. It’s worth it.

Good luck! 1 week ago

CaribbeanBreezeWardrobe Overhaul

In an article it said to make life simple, reduce your wardrobe down to the basics. Two colours that you love, that go together, that can mix and match, and then a third as a highlight that you can throw in.

I went with black, white/cream, and my highlight is a denim blue. With these three I can throw on any pants, dress, jacket, jumper, shirt, shoe, and mix and match and they all go together. Not only is it easier to get ready, it’s easier to shop for. “Is it in my colours?” “Is it feminine” “Is it soft, cuddly.. ” whatever your requirements for selecting clothes.

Now I have a very basic but lovely wardrobe with all the clothes in it that I love AND use – all those ones that hang at the back – donated! I get dressed in 2 mins because this goes with that. My husband loved the idea so much he has started on this process. His colours are autumn tones.

This makes life simple. You feel good about yourself. It’s easy to shop. There are only positives from this. I’ll probably use this for home decor as well, but one step at a time! 1 month ago

CaribbeanBreezeNot Completed, but is not for me

There comes a time in life when you revalue your life as it is now compared to how it was when you began certain things, such as this goal, and realise that times have changed. I’ve changed.

After flipping through this book this morning I decided it really wasn’t my thing. And that’s brilliant. I’ve set it free. I’m allowing myself to be free from it in return.

It’s ok to not finish things and just move on. 3 months ago

I’d be happy.

42. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?

If I remained extremely attractive in my eyes, yes. Famous – well, it would depend on why I was famous.

43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living?

Truly living is being honest with your dark side. Knowing who you are amongst the dirty dark times. Being able to laugh at circumstance. Then getting up and being you, in all you have learnt through that, and embracing life. Being alive is more like I am now. A bit of shell from those times, trying to fill the gap those times tore apart.

Yesterday

48. What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?

I love much, and whom I love know they are loved. My actions express this love. I hope!

49. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?

In 5 minutes from now I probably wont remember any of that. It’s not important to me.

50. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?

Life has a hand in it for my set of circumstance. Not everything is as clear cut as you’d like this question to be. I make decisions for me. I take others opinions into consideration. Who wouldn’t? Life is about living, and living with those you love means sharing, giving, exchanging and exploring. I’ve got a strong will, I’m not a door mat, but sometimes you go with others ideas because they’re not what you would ever have thought up and they are BRILLIANT!

CaribbeanBreezeI get it

My parcel was sent on the 10th of December and it still hasn’t shown up to my giftee either. I feel so bad for them and also so very frustrated with the postage system, if they do indeed have a system! 4 months ago

CaribbeanBreezeThe Postage is SO slow!

I know that a gift I sent a family member to NY for Christmas got there over the weekend so I’m hoping my Secret Santa also gets theirs soon too. I’m pretty sure they were sent on the same day. It’s utterly ridiculous that it’s taken so long for anything to show up. I’m never sending post via Sloth Express again. Next time killer whales perhaps? If you see a sloth with a box please hurry it along. Thank you! Happy New Year Christmas Birthday to all! 4 months ago

CaribbeanBreezeI'm sure it will arrive soonish...

I think santa went on holiday here. The gift chosen ended up on back order, and then on back order again. Since it had quite a way to travel I’m not surprised it hasn’t surfaced but I check everyday to see if it has and if it’s liked. I hope it is.

It was sent on the 10th of Dec, but as said, santa seems to be holidaying and I think the santa sack may be traveling via ship or carrier pigeon not par avion. Hope they get it soon. I’m probably more excited then they are!

Perhaps it will be Happy New Year rather than Merry Christmas! :) 4 months ago

CaribbeanBreezeThank you!

I kept the box. The snow still hasn’t melted. ;)

The letter is awesome! Love the letter!

Thank you! xox 4 months ago

CaribbeanBreezeI knew my Secret Santa was THE BEST!

The box that arrived in plenty of time was the first under the tree, and it was opened with care and I was bowled over by such generosity.

My secret santa has such compassion and kindness. She donated in my name to charity, something I do for others also. Thank you! She also tracked down one of the nail polishes I wrote and had picked me up another when she wasn’t sure she could get any. I didn’t have either so I feel very spoilt. She also sent lots of postcards and leaflets about where she lives and sent a beautiful several page letter that I read out loud to my hubby as we sat in awe.

PLUS, she sent me snow! It didn’t even melt. How awesome! In my part of the country I live in I don’t get snow, especially this time of year! I’ve never seen it in person. It was so much fun to see snow at the bottom of the box!

I would love to write back, if that is ok?

Thank you so much for going to so much trouble. I know my giftee isn’t going to get theirs on time since i had to wait for it to be delivered to me first before wrapping and posting onward… and I didn’t even think to put the sun in a box!

I love 43things Secret Santa.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Many Blessings.

CaribbeanBreezeOOOOOH

A parcel has arrived from much traveling. YAY! Thank You!!!

Peeking on the custom form it looks like my secret santa has outdone themselves! Oooh… I’m bursting from curiosity!

It’s the very first gift under the tree! ~ bounces in excitement ~ Isn’t that always the coolest?

I won’t open until Christmas day but I must say, I already think my Secret Santa is going to be the best! (Yes, really!)

Thank you!!!!

Now the big wait is on to see if a certain someone gets their gift.

CaribbeanBreezeIt's A Wrap!

Thank goodness it actually arrived. It’s being sent today! I hope it arrives in time, it has a bit of a distance to travel and no doubt have to pass a few security checks. 5 months ago

CaribbeanBreezeHA!

Yes I’m bonkers! But this time I’m actually making sense, just not in that paragraph!

I had to order my giftee their gift, so I’m waiting for it to arrive here first before Santa can collect it. :)

It’s good you read it twice, that’s how one reads lists this time of year. Perhaps I should read posts twice before saving them! OOPS5 months ago

CaribbeanBreezeIt's in the post but...

It’s in the post to me. Or so they tell me. I don’t even have it. So um, Santa may be late, or he may have to collect it from here as he does the big loop around the world, and drop it off to my special secret someone! Fingers crossed though it just turns up! 5 months ago
