I just read over the website and it looked interesting. I’ve actually been considering trying some type of detox plan sometime so depending upon how well things end up going for you I might actually seriously look into this one. Good luck with the cleanse.
If you decide to do it, I’d be willing to help you out as an accountability partner to help with the devotional neglect issue if you’d like.
Psalm 119 is only the longest chapter in the Bible and if it is your favorite it should be enjoyable to keep you busy. Actually it turns out that there is already a goal to memorize Psalm 119 which is fitting because this one deserves a goal to its own as it is larger than a good number of the New Testament books.
In some ways it seems like last year was a very meaningful experience for you. My only potential concern is how it seems to have cause you to lose your spiritual focus over what is most important in the process.
Also if you want to get your novel from last year published, let me know as it is within my power to help you make it happen.

Reminds me of another related book quote that I blogged on a few months ago:
“Studies show that 45 percent of Americans say they never read a book. Worse than that, the National Commission on Excellence in Education reported in 1983 that the average college graduate does not read one serious book in the course of a year. You have too much to lose by not reading, and too much to gain by disciplined reading. Discipline yourself to learn by reading, and choose your books well. You will be able to read relatively few books in your lifetime, so read the best books. … Don’t waste your time on books you’ll regret reading when you look back upon them from the perspective of eternity. I believe in recreational reading. I don’t maintain that every volume you read should be didactic or even theological. There are books to be read for relaxation and refreshment. But even these should be edifying and help you in some sense to love God with your mind.”

Got to love your change of pace from asking if it was a challenge in the title to saying that you’re on in the body. I have no problems matching you for this goal but how far does it go? After all keep in mind that the Celtic monks of old had the entire Psalter memorized. Also if you want a real challenge why not also go with Psalm 119 ;)

Good to see that I’ve been a good influence on you. Either that or you could do all 3 ;)
I’ve decided to complete this goal using the KJV audio Bible that I downloaded from the Internet simply because it was for free a few months ago and have yet to have even listened to a single chapter of it. The King James Bible is not the main version of the Bible that I use but I have several copies of it in print which have remained unread for the most part. Still given the importance of this translation I think I should experience it at least once in life.
My copy was also a gift. But honestly it is something that I should probably read anyway as when one is preparing for and in ministry they are kind of forced to read the “hot Christian books” at the time so they know how to respond to questions that they cause others to ask of the clergy.
The other day when I was searching online I stumbled upon a guide on how to memorize the entire New Testament in 5 years so I’m sure if one was devoted that the Psalms would be easier than the NT. That schedule had one memorizing a chapter a week and included a reading/reciting schedule that took one through the NT on a monthly basis. Actually I’m considering memorizing the Psalms for this goal myself. The main thing that is holding me back from getting started is deciding which Bible version to use as there is the ESV which I use as my primary translation at the moment (but I’ve switched numerous times before) or the KJV which I’m certain will not fall away from common usage within my lifetime.
There is a health food store with a lot of organics by me, I’ll have to check it out to see if they have any.
I have a friend who raises show cows so if you are ever in the area I might be able to help you get some milk straight from a cow.
I’ve never heard of whole milk with cream on top but it sounds good. Where is it sold and does it have any special name or is it something that you mix up yourself?

What is your favorite type of milk? (whole, 2%, soy, ect.)
It takes me a while to go through a bottle of maple syrup from how infrequent I have pancakes. But rest assured that that bottle is next in line after the open one gets finished off.
Mail the letter that I wrote yesterday- Clean off my cluttered desktop and throw away anything that is not useful or needed started
- Publish a post to my blog started
That is one of the most unique notes that I’ve ever seen. Hopefully the person who finds it values it enough to keep instead of just throwing it out.

I’ve decided to make the book of Psalms the book of the Bible that I’ll make my own hand copies version of. Not sure how long it will take but I’m more concerned about having a nice looking finished product and it being a meaningful experience than deadlines as of now.
Since I’ve started this goal I’ve been limiting my jam intake to either homemade or store bought ones that do not have corn syrup which also are not made in the USA. I’ve been reading labels a lot more in the grocery store and I’m amazed at how every jar of jam that is made in the USA is filled with the corn syrup junk but if it was made in France or Switzerland it is made with sugar. Yes I know that jam is loaded with sugar which does not combine well with weight loss but given that I do normally do not drink any soda and I always have real maple syrup on pancakes when I have them it probably contributes to most of my corn syrup intake.
