for your good words, catattack. smile
Missed the farmers’ market (again!) this week—a huge sinus headache kept me home. dangit But there are still two more chances before we go to the winter market format & schedule….
Missed my allergy shot again this week—unable to have it since I’m still wheezing (no more fever, though, & the sinusitis seems to be improving).
Today the friend I’d helped out at work took me to lunch as a way of saying “thanks”: very nice! smile
Yesterday I took over a couple of projects, covering temporarily for a friend, so that he could have the day off work for Yom Kippur. I’m glad that I was able to do this. smile
I hope you’ve had a richly meaningful Yom Kippur.
Best wishes to you & yours. smile

* unloading & loading the dishwasher
And today I am moved to acknowledge that…
- the in-sink disposal is a wonderful help (yes, it was worth the cost of replacing it wry grin)
- the dishwasher is a complete blessing (it actually cleans pots & pans—& even the rinse cycle is effective eyes wide in astonishment)
smile
Say, Todd, the private message function doesn’t seem to working…. Do you think it’s 43T? Or a full mailbox, leaving no room for new messages? Or have you blocked me? (just kidding grin)
As soon as it works again, I’ll write you. Or, you can try PMing me through my account, if you like.
Thanks! smile

- strawberries (fresh)
- figs (dried)
- cippolini onions (in balsamic vinegar)
Created a big ol’ pot of potato-onion-celery soup (“from scratch”) to eat with my favorite (store-bought) oatmeal bread. It’s really good—& the quantity should extend over a number of meals in the coming week. smile
- banana
- tamarind nectar (diluted 1/2 & 1/2 with sparkling water)
- potato-onion-celery soup (homemade)
- green salad (with two types of lettuce)
- artichoke hearts (marinated)
- apple
Alaska quarters when I was there—shall I check the mint marks on them for you? (I realize that, I’m “not family,” it might not count if you got them from me! teasing grin)
that skimpy little outfit to go with them! grin
- dried fruit (peach & pear)
- tamarind nectar (diluted 1/2 & 1/2 with sparkling water)

Monday – Thursday:
- on time (or early) to all appointments today smile
Friday:
- five minutes late to first appointment (but it worked out okay)
Saturday:
- precisely on time to the only appointment of the day (where we found out we’d been “stood up” due to a miscommunication sigh)
the previous note to add the brand name of the jar of Tamarind Nectar (“Zayid,” imported from Egypt).
If you do try it, let me know what you think of it! smile
well, actually, only a half pound lost, but hey, I was glad to see it, especially since I’d splurged on [doughnuts] during the past week! OMG
for your good wishes, DarkDog. I did feel better last night, but then I think I overdid it at work today…. wry grin We’ll see how tomorrow goes—it’s scheduled to be a “lighter” day.
Best wishes to you! smile
