Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Forgot to weigh myself before breakfast this morning, so will try and remember for tomorrow. But I’ve lost an inch off my waist! Thighs have gone up an inch, but still look slimmer as I’ve gained muscle. 23 months ago

Haven’t posted in a couple days, but have been working out. A lot of walking, and I think I’ve found a cardio workout I’m comfortable with doing a couple times a week.

I don’t think I’ve lost any weight yet, but I feel as if I’m slimming down a bit. Took my measurements this week. Will take them again every two weeks to see if I’m getting any results. 1 year ago

Already losing motivation. On good days, I think the fact that I feel awful all the time should be motivation enough. On bad days, I just don’t care about it at all. I have to keep working out. I have to push myself harder. 2 years ago

I definitely suck at yoga. Not happy with my body at all, so I know I have to do this. I can’t keep gaining weight. Will try different videos. The series I found is okay, but I’m not sure it fits me. 2 years ago

Found a beginners yoga video collection on YouTube. I may seek out other videos until I find what works best for me, but I’m glad I took this first step. Except for the fact that 15 minutes of yoga practically killed me, I’m happy about starting this. Just can’t wait to get my strength back. I didn’t know I was this out of shape.
