First I cleaned the Miata really well. I did the uhpholstery on the seat, vacuumed the passenger and trunk and then washed it and then detailed the tires so it was looking good.
We took a 50 mile round trip. It was not sunny and the leaves did not really “pop” but still it was a pleasure.
1990 Miata. What a great car. Older than my children and it still works.
Oh how I rue the day I have to put it in the garage for the winter hibernation! 19 months ago

On October 13 2011 Officer Kotecki was the first to arrive at a scene where he found David Post, a fugitive who was suicidal and violent and had a “heroin habit.” Post shot the officer in the abdomen and head. He tried to flee but by that time realized he could not escape and was surrounded. He shot at another officer before being shot and killed.
Officer Kotecki leaves behind a wife and two sons 13 and 11.
This week’s charity for obvious reasons goes to the Memorial Fund of Officer Kotecki.

leave about two extra inches of dough on the outside. then spoon some ricotta mixed with egg and perhaps some cooked crumbled sausage or some carmelized onions and then fold the crust over this. When you bake it the pizza is part pizza and part calzone. I’ve been doing this for thirty years… longer than pizza hut.
this is a really great dish either for when you meet your prince, or have amazing lesbian sex, or both. 19 months ago

Went to the range today and shot another 100 rounds. Figured out these things:
1. What the little things are on the sights and how to line them up so that my bullets go where I want them to go.
2. How to tell if there is a bullet in the chamber and how to eject it if it does not work.
3. Shooting is like guitar: anyone can do it but few can do it well. 19 months ago

How I did it: One at a time. Gradually built up over about three months from 7 to 100. Also, I used to do bent knee pushups and thought I was going to explode when I did my first plank.. Had to endure episodes of back pain. Had days when inexplicably could only manage 30 or so. I was somewhat surprised when I finally broke over the hump. Read how I did it… 19 months ago

I went with a friend to an indoor range and fired off the first 100 rounds with the Mark 3 Ruger. I’m a long way from being a marksman but at least I feel competent loading, checking, clearing and cleaning. I hope to go again tomorrow. 19 months ago

One of my favorite charities. They help to build houses for the poor. The poor help to build their own houses. How cool is that? 20 months ago

Costco had LED bulbs for 10 dollars each and I was really impressed with the first two. I plan to change two a month until the price drops below 5 dollars a bulb and then I will change them en masse. They are cheap to run and should last years. By the way. You MUST hold onto the UPC code from the package and the original receipt to make a warranty claim if they fail in less than three years. For ten dollars a bulb these suckers had better last that long. 20 months ago
