Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Hoffy3 months!

Today is 3 months without alcohol, whop whop!:) Feels great! I have said no so many times mow, with friends, family and so on, fuck everyone drinks as it seems nowadays:) But today I dont miss it anymore.. 2 months ago

HoffyApril rewiev and May focus!

1: Take care of bussiness! Meaning: spend enough time on my education.

Last course went really good, this one I am doing right now is a bit trickier, I have had some problems with concentration and focus due to personal stuff

2: Stop procrastination once and for all!

-Still procrastinating.. I have not really been focusing at all on this but I still need to do some huge change:)

3: Stay sober for 6 months!

7 weeks without alcohol, yihaa!:)

4: Break the habit!

Doin really good, proud of myself, this is soon just a memory from the past, from my old self

5: Physical fitness! Become my best physical me ever

I was doing ok with the fitnesspart, training muay thai and all, but the last 3 weeks, mostly study and work.. Need to get back on track!

6: Optimal nutrition for optimal energy!

Eating breakfast and more vegetables. Still eating to much junk though

7: Make myself happy!

Less anxiety now. Feeling alot better about myself these days!

8: Love!

... I think I am starting to really love myself and respect myself and that is a huge change.. This will also ultimately make it easier for me to love someone else and to really feel loved by someone else..

Last year I started to read more than ever. I have not been reading as much as I want lately, so I want to read more again..

I will start with this goal: Read at least 1 book before this month is over, hopefully read 2 5 months ago

I have always loved to learn éverything I can about the brain. I have thinking about this as a major alot and I think I have come to a decision.. This is what I really want to study!:)

Since I started University I have gone from desperate feelings of low confidence in my ability to reach my goal.
That has slowly changed over time due to good results and also some work invested in my mind, dealing with feelings of stress, worry and anxiety..

Now I am so confident in myself that I dare to choose neuropsychology as my major. I have always loved the learning everything I can about the brain, but my low confidence has stoped me from choosing what I deep down want to study..
But not anymore. I am happy to say I dare to do this now:) 5 months ago

There are many ways of protecting ourselves and our deepest fears are most of the time about not being accepted or loved the way we are, but when we protect ourselves from being hurt most of the times we end up feeling anything else but close to the ones we love..

I had a really tough exam last week and I spent 2 weeks studying for it so I hope for the best

2: Stop procrastination once and for all!

4: Break the habit!

This is probably the area of my life where I make most progress right now. Almost 7 weeks now and no relaps the last 2 weeks, feeling better and better about myself and I have better confidence I will make it

5: Physical fitness! Become my best physical me ever

I can´t say I have been doin really good but Im doin ok.. Manage to improve some of my muay thai techniques. Still need to make exercise a major part of my life.

6: Optimal nutrition for optimal energy!

Exercise + healthy food will be my main focus for this next month

I have decided to take actions here. I still have a lot of anxiety to deal with..

I have given up on this goal.. But now I am fighting back again.. 5 weeks have passed since I decided to fight again. A couple of relapses the first month but the last week I have done really well and I am feeling alot better about myself, feeling stronger than ever.. This time I will make it 6 months ago

1: Take care of bussiness! Meaning: spend enough time on my education. I have to stay focused to do this and take care of myself to have enough energy for this goal.

- I have been working a bit to much last 3/4 weeks, but I have decided that studying will be my only “work” the following 3 weeks, because in 3 weeks I have an exam, and they say it´s a tough one.

2: Stop procrastination once and for all!

-Still procrastinating..

3: Stay sober for 6 months!

- Have been drinking 2 times Jan.. Will have to discipline myself better to reach this goal

4: Break the habit!

- 3 weeks and only 3 relaps, that´s have to be progress.

5: Physical fitness! Become my best physical me ever

- I have started fighting muay thai again after hurting my knee 2 months ago. My knee feels good and I have also started to lift weights again to gain more muscles.

6: Optimal nutrition for optimal energy!

- Have been making more food at home and eating out less

7: I break free from depression once and for all!

- Dont know if it is love.. But I have company

HoffyTop 10 goals 2014...

My main focus this year will be my health, my physical but most my mental health. I have spent to much time on feeling low and depressed in my life and I will have to find a way to become more positive and stay that way.

These are my top 10 goals for 2014.

HoffyHour of power..

I am trying to establish a new routine, everymorning I set the alarm clock one hour earlier than usual and I take a long walk, One hour. During this walk I start to focus on things I can be grateful for. After that I focus on what I want for my life, and I try to think of it as it is already accomplished. After that I take some time for positive affirmations.
Dont know if this will be helpful or not but at least I enjoy the walk and the fresh air, and the time for reflection:) 7 months ago

End of a year, start of a new one

So 2013 was really an emotional rollercoaster for me. Lots of things went good but also alot of pain but lifelong lessons learned.

What goals did I achieve amongst the top 10 gols for the year?

Find the education that feels right for me, prepare for it and start it Sept 2013.. Really important goal and I feel really good about achieving this one

Do whatever is in my power to get a “high score” on the course i´m starting Sept.. Did really good on this one

Read 10 psychology books… I have read more the last 6 months than I have done the last couple of years I think :)

Start my aquarium with discus fishes in it.. Yep, and i´ts beautiful 8 months ago
