Yesterday I failed on day 12 and thought why did that happen. Upon further instigation I recognized a constant phenomena that appears several days or more in on the masturbation abstinence cycle. That is, the arise of the instinctive belief that sex is an integral part of life, happiness and fullfillment. In actuality, with a clear mind you can easily deduce that this is not the case, but at times, the impulsive powers of the mind can be so overwheelming that it can be very difficult to see past this deception. In addition, I believe what most people truly desire is romantic love, and the availiability of sexual gradification functions to fill that void because people easily confuse sex and love.
To combat the confusion that the brain creates to induce a state of venerability and thus influence you to masturbate, I decided to create a journal containing a series of article examing the philosophical, psychological, personal, and sociological perspectives of human sexuality and love. In this way whenever I cant see the light, I can read this journal and know that it will steer me in the right direction. 17 months ago

Keep going further and further. Don’t watch porn, dont fantasize, and don’t stimulate yourself. Day 7 is a milestone, and your building momentum. Keep pursuing your passions, find tranquility and happiness in life, and the desire to masturbate will slowly erase itself from your nature. I believe in you! 17 months ago

One of the reasons it can be very difficult to analyze energy is because sexuality is such a key element in human nature that it becomes almost impossible to precisely identify all of its constituents. Does sexual desire result from essentially the mind or the body? I’m not sure if I completely agree with your insinuation that sexual desire is a product ultimately derived from human thinking because I myself on occassion have gone from not thinking about sex for several days to being sexually driven seemingly out of nowhere. Additionally, science has shown that testosterone plays a key role in sex drive. Also, interestingly enough, individuals with sexual dysfunction have been shown to have developed deviant behaviors (i.e. arson, killing, fighting, theft) to cope with their inability to ejaculate. I wonder whether the context people are in could affect how they interpret that energy?
Anyways I agree intrepretation of that energy is key in influencing what actions an individual will take. The primary reason I believe the differences between what I would normally intrepret as sexual energy and raw energy disappeared is because I stopped labeling them as such. Even still I’m not convinced. Often knowledge about concepts like human sexuality and philosophy is primarily subjective and as such, objectivity can be difficult/impossible to obtain on a universal level because peoples own fabric of reality varies. 17 months ago

I don’t believe its natural for desire to be repressed. What you need to do is transmutate that sexual energy into another form and expend it (i.e. sex transmutation). Otherwise it slowely collects inside and becomes a more vicious and unresistable force. 17 months ago

Personal Antidote
I learned about sex transmutation over a week ago by chance and have been applying it since. When I learned about it I was in day four and today in day eleven.

Initially the concept seemed flawed and foreign. I mean if you change your thoughts from sex to something else how can you still be aroused. In order to answer this question I had to careful analyze and reassess my ideas about sexual arousal. Upon inspection I came to view sexual arousal as a continuous energy building process instead of an immediately jump to a higher energy state. In addition I realized that if you change your thought to something your passionate about and don’t let the energy lie dormant then the energy attained from arousal remains unchanged.

My next goal was to learn the proper technique and awakening the passion for sex transmutation. Napoleon Hill states that sexual energy will strongly compel release through physical means though this is not required. If I could divert the energy through other passions of mine the energy gets expended and sexual desire should cease. Empirical evidence seemed to confirm this assumption. I found myself being significantly more productive and energized. And I have since never doubted my vision. Interesting the energy created by sex and natural means are become less differentiated, and much more like a resevoir which arises several times per day. Believe me when I say sex transmutation has changed my life permanently.

1. Sexual Energy comes in two forms: mental and biological. Biological sexual energy does not form out of nothing and cannot be confused with mental sexual energy. In order to acquire biological sexual energy you must abstain from ejaculation for several days until your body builds that energy

Qualifier
Anyone can learn how to control and channel their sexual energy with dedication and willpower. While there is no exact manual to accomplishing this task, success is the result of your own comprehension, creativity and strength. One key tactic is to change your thoughts when you get sexually aroused. Your mind will still be stimulated and you can divert your sexual energy to whatever you changed your thoughts to.

READ CAREFULLY
As a hypersexual, masturbation has always been a challenging issue for me. Between the ages of 14 and 15, I would often masturbate twice a day. As I got older and my hormones started to slow down my rate dropped to once a day and then to once every other day. I am now 20 and on the road to quitting masturbation. I’m only on day 6, which isn’t far, but I’ve had a paradigm shift and have made several useful revelations:
1. If your heart is not as clear as glass and as solid as steel you will fail. Whenever I have tried to quit masturbation in the past I realized my constitution was weak. I would often doubt myself or my reasons, developing rationalizations to masturbate. This translated into lower confidence and less motivation which inevitably lead me astray. This distorted way of thinking self perpetuated itself in an ongoing cycle. In order to be successful you must have strong motivations and beliefs to justify your behavior. With this you become less susceptible to uncertainty, which is a major risk factor. You can accomplish this by doing research and exploring your self-identity. I find either meditation or a quiet place where I can clearly deconstruct my thoughts helps.
2. You must recognize the nature of the drive for self-gratification and separate yourself from it. In psychology or sociology, it’s common to cover various psychologist and their theories as they relate to self-identity. A reoccurring concept was the idea of an inborn pleasure drive. Sigmund Freud called it the id. George Mead called it the I and so on. The important note is that this pleasure drive was the source of all of our biological impulses. I believe the pleasure drive works to deceive us into giving into our temptations. It does this by stimulating the creation of thoughts that would validate taking actions that lead to pleasure. I also noticed that it’s easy to fall victim to this trap if you believe these “heat of the moment” thoughts are a result of being autonomous. Learn to recognize the arising of contradictory thoughts and acknowledge the temporal ones as unrepresentative of your identity. Your brain will lie to you telling you masturbation is a precursor to happiness and such. Deny and destroy these thoughts. Do not consider them or let them linger in your mind.
3. You must pursue passions or a purpose in life. When I would masturbate the most likely circumstances surrounding it was that I was either stressed/tired from work or I was trying to stimulate enjoyment out of boredom. In both cases I was trying to use masturbation as a tool for creating something I had a deficiency of: happiness and tranquility. Remember that the goal should not only be to stop masturbating but also to remove that desire from your mind. The happiness and self-fulfillment that pursuing passions and a purpose in life bring make the carnal and transient desires fade. Fill your life with activities that make you happy and build on a sense of purpose. For example for me, these things would include writing fiction, watching anime, studying math, science or philosophy, running, or listening to music.

All of the above tie into together, so I would recommend if you adopt one, you adopt them all. As a final note, I would like to remind all of you that quitting masturbation is an extremely difficult task. If you are serious about quitting you must take full accountability for your actions and realize you are the arbiter of your destiny. 21 months ago
