InTheMossCan you recomend a book?

Hi there,
I’m wondering if anyone can recommend any good Tantra books. I have one by Osho that is great, but I am having trouble getting through it. Osho didn’t write books, he gave lectures and had scribes follow him and write his speeches down and publish them. I find it hard to stay focused. Soooo… if anyone knows any good ones about tantra or neo-tantra, please comment here. Thanks! 4 months ago

InTheMosssnapshow

I have a history of snapping at people, as long as I can remember. I get this ball of energy well up inside me all of a sudden, like a big ball of tangled wires, and I don’t know what to do. I usually snap or have to ask whoever I’m with to leave me alone for a while. Like leave right now! Now I have the most beautiful lover and we have fallen in love, but I keep hurting him and he’s afraid to say anything around me because he doesn’t know what will set me off. I’ve slowed down the caffeine consumption and am not sure it is helping. Any ideas? 5 months ago

InTheMossUntitled

That sucks! There’s a club in Vancouver that gets together on Wednesday evenings (if it isn’t raining) and practices at the sea wall. It’s like a fence and handrail around the ocean. Good for hanging on to while learning. You should try something like that when you get another uni. Better luck next time! 7 months ago

InTheMossUntitled

I’m going to try planting about a week before the last frost date in my area, then every week and a half for a total of 4 plantings next spring. Small rows so I can eat each one before the next is ready. It works with loose leaf lettuces (romaines and other head lettuce take much longer to grow). Good luck! 7 months ago

InTheMossMini Garden!

I had a small little garden this year but the carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach and zucchini didn’t do well. I had loads of loose leaf lettuce, red romaine, and a bit of peas and kale. I’ll plant earlier next year, with way more peas. Can’t wait! 8 months ago

InTheMossThings are deffinately different

Wow, looking back at this goal it only took me 3 months to actually complete it. Crazy eh? Now I am just beginning to really see all the changes and move toward my dream lifestyle. Well, bonvoyage fellow goal setters, good luck on your lifestyle change! 15 months ago

InTheMossNo go!

Well, it turned out that I was moved around a lot to different places in my job so I didn’t get settled until it was too late to start a garden. Next spring hopefully! 18 months ago

InTheMossVitamin D

Last winter I got super depressed with my life. I live in a very rainy coastal city so rays of sunshine are few and far between. So this winter I am taking fat soluble vitamin D. My naturopath says that fat soluble soft gels absorb best. She says the normal dosage is 1000IUs per day but since I have problems with seasonal depression 3000IUs a day should be my dosage. I’m not buying them from her so she isn’t just telling me to take more so she can sell more. I definitely notice the difference in my mood :) 18 months ago

InTheMossVegetarian

Well, I finally took the leap and reverted to a vegetarian diet. Did you know that you cut more of your carbon footprint by eliminating meat in your diet than if you stop driving? Well now you do! 18 months ago

InTheMossBack on Track!

Okay, I’m back on track! I went to Kundalini Yoga on Saturday (super good for the tum), and am starting to do a routine of sit ups every other day. Today’s the day! Wahooo! 18 months ago

InTheMossVegan composting roommates!

Hey! I just moved in with a couple vegan ladies (just a sublet for 3 months) and the house is super green. It’s nice to live with like minded people! Since the morning after I moved in I have not eaten any meat! If you stop eating meat it brings your carbon footprint down even more than if you stop driving! And I don’t drive either! Yeay! Time to beak out the bicycle! 18 months ago

InTheMossBritish Columbia - Alberta - Quebec - British Columbia

Wow, so I got the job of my dreams, which also happens to be a well paying seasonal job in the forest where I get paid to do things like cook, clean, read, hula hoop, animal watch, feed the (chip)monks, sew, knit, crochet, and keep the yard looking nice. So now that I am a seasonal worker travel and change are integrated into my life. I left Vancouver, British Columbia on May 1st and headed to Golden, British Columbia to visit an amazing friend and make hula hoops. Then I was off to Calgary and Red Deer, Alberta to visit friends and family and gather what I needed for the season. Then off to work for 4 months in northern Alberta. Afterwards I hit up Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, and Lethbridge (all in Alberta) to visit old friends and get lots of chill time with my family. Then I was off to Quebec, landing in Montreal and spending 2 weeks there and a few days in Quebec City as well. Visiting old friends, checking out Canada’s history (Quebec City is home to Canada’s oldest fort), dancing, cooking, wandering. I thought the shopping would be better in Montreal. If you are one of those yucky hipsters who all look the same and pay a shitload to do so, then shopping in Montreal should please you quite a bit. I was surprised to see for my first time a Hasidic Jewsish community. Then men all have the sweetest ringlet curls in their sideburns! We really don’t have that out in western Canada. So after a nice trip as far east as I’ve been in Canada, it was time to head west again. I landed in Vancouver, got some sleep and then headed to Vancouver Island, to a beautiful farm between Victoria and Sooke. Walking past the garden to get to the cabin, food straight from the garden, honey-candied rose buds (mmmm), a few long-haired highland cows (beautiful!), a couple kitties and some ukulele fun. We did a couple really beautiful hikes, one overlooking all of the southern part of the island and all the way into Washington (US), and one along the coastline in an exquisite park. I then set my intention for what I was looking for in a home in Vancouver (for the winter) and set sail (okay, engine) back to the mainland. I landed in Vancouver and couch-surfed 3 different friend’s houses before finding a great room with 2 vegan girls. My room is big, my closet is massive, the kitchen is beautiful and well equipped and the living room is bright with natural light. Loving having a place to call my own and more clothing than will fit in a suitcase! Mmmm, time to cozy down for the winter! 18 months ago
