Well, I’m starting from zero because I had a previous goal to pay down my second mortgage, so no savings left.
Yeah, the monthly is really high, but with two decent incomes in the household and no kids or other debt, we can do it if we really focus.
Still not going to be easy, and will require working extra. But worth it! 18 months ago
I’d like to have $50k in the bank by the end of 2012, and essentially starting from zero, that means about $4150/mo. for the 2012 year. This is agressive given the other financial goals I have, but doable I think. 19 months ago

So it looks like we’ll have our second mortgage paid off by the end of November of this year. I’m pretty excited about that, since the interest rate is very high. 19 months ago
