Now that I have a few classes that are really difficult and I have color guard taking up a lot of my time after school, it’s been getting harder and harder to procrastinate—because my procrastination time is the same amount of time it takes to actually get stuff done! Because I have to do stuff as soon as I get home to actually get to bed by 12:30, it makes it easier to do my homework as soon as I get home even if I don’t have much.
The easiest way to keep myself from procrastinating has proven, thus far, to be to just keep myself so busy that I can’t. 8 months ago

How I did it: I basically just actually forced myself to wear heels. It was mostly my fear of wearing heels that made me feel like I didn't know how. Now, I still don't know how to walk in what I call "Emma Watson heels" (like, those crazy high heels that also have the platform on the toe?), but I'm not worried about that. And I am still deathly afraid of stilleto heels... but I think I'll stay that way. Those things are just not practical. Read how I did it… 16 months ago

The most common advice I’ve gotten from adults recently (via YouTube) is something along the lines of, “Seriously. FLOSS.” (Michael Aranda, John Green…) So, I’d better make sure I do it every day. So far this year, I’m good! ;) 16 months ago

10th grade year, I had a 4.0 all year! Woo!
First quarter of 11th grade I had a 4.0 too…
Second quarter though… I’m a bit worried. I think I may have a 3.8 right now? I’m hoping to make it at least a 3.9 by the time the quarter ends! Spanish, Physics, and Calculus… the first from a missing assignment, the last two from just difficulty level. Hopefully I’ll make it! XX 16 months ago

So far, this is going alright for the new year… I’ve finished all of my (late) physics homework, except for the things I don’t understand. All I now need is to know what my teacher wanted to be the due date on this essay… I’ll probably do it tonight anyway.
So, things to work on this year –
- Getting my physics homework done the night before it’s due so I can ask questions, and have the night free for my B day homework.
- Doing my calculus as soon as I get home, before physics, to prevent my doing it during lunch (the period before the class).
- Checking the syllabus for English to make sure I know when due dates are, before I fear they are close.
- Read my chapters for AP U.S. history the weekend before they are to be quizzed, if possible – if not, 5 pages a night. XX
- Don’t be shy of my fellow lit mag students – they could possibly dislike their own writing just as much as I do. If I need to do a peer edit, presentation, or teacher meet, do it as soon as possible!
-Don’t need to worry about it for drawing – I adore that class. 16 months ago
