How I did it: I just signed up for it and paid for it. I pretty much hated doing this goal because I didn't love it. Pushing myself to run when my knees and feet hurt so much was not worth it. It was the stupidest thing I've done to my body. The farthest I ever ran is half marathons. I've like 3-4 halfs. I crapped out and started walking about halfway. I thought that I wasn't conditioned enough for this endeavor. Will only do short runs and Relays races from now on. I knocked this off my list. I wish I had something more positive to say. This goal is so long because I stop and start.
I just need to burn the fat with cardio.
I’m training for a marathon April 7th. So with the amount of running I’m doing it’s burning my fat well. I also do calisthenics everyday.

I am going to jiu jitsu today too.
Also I’m on a paleo-ish diet. No carbs unless its a long run. like my marathon. I believe in eating protein. I should eat more vegetables and fruits. For the office job I have it makes since to not have carbs because it just stores in my body.

I’ve been falling off here and there. But this is my 3rd week. I really do have abs. I just have a layer of fat on the lower part. I need to do cardio and really watch my diet.
Having that partner keeps you accountable.

I got it last weekend. Do I think I deserve it? No. Did I go through a lot this past few months? Yes, but not jiu jitsu related.
I know jiu jitsu is there for me. Especially this gym in Guam. Carlson Gracie Guam. This family is there for me. I should have not have compromised my life for a girl. When I got let down. Going to jiu jitsu was the best thing for me. I have so much to learn. I have to work hard on this goal. I really want to go everyday. My half guard, close guard and open guard need to get better. “Garbage In Garbage out.”
I thought about that when I ate some Wendys last night.
I ate a chicken sandwich, half the fries and a large lemonade.
It was much needed sustenance, I worked out for like an hour and half doing jiu jitsu. My second workout of the day also.
It seems there are times after a workout that I feel like I don’t care what I eat I just need food. Thats when my choices go bad.
So I’m keeping that term in my head when I’m done with my workout.

So I’m taking a week of leave just to study for my exam. I want to be HM2. Just to get it out of the way. That’s not a good reason. So maybe I don’t deserve to pick up. I know I will work hard though. I plan getting a high score this time around. I’m shooting for a 70.
I have no excuse to not study.
I’m just studying and working out. No other distractions. If I don’t pick up. It’s whatever. Next time.

Cardio at 545am
I ran to a beach for like 12 minutes.
10 push ups
25 flutter kicks
25 lunges
x2
I saw my doctor going for a beach dive waiting for other doctors. I chatted with him for a bit.
Then when his doctor friends came I continued my run back.
I ran up a hill then I ran back to housing. Then I walked the rest of the way.
Since its’ early I’m going to try to this every weekend.
Get an early workout. Get it out of the way. I may also get another workout later on that day.

As in people do what is most necessary to them at any given moment.
Eventually you find out what you want to do in life. It may change tomorrow, next month, or 5 years from now. I think the most important part is to move forward. Despite all the things in your life i.e. family members death, break up, divorce, loss of a job or failing dive school. Take baby steps in the right direction. I found my purpose. I’m going back. It took some time and some suffering, but I grew as a man and a person.

The first week back is pretty easy.
I worked out every day.
I kept my diet in mind too. I ate salad twice for lunch.
On Thursday I made myself work out even when I didn’t want to.
I have to keep consistent with documenting it.
I did 40 minutes of Long Slow Distance.
with a warm up and cool down.
at 530 to 630am.
I ate those microwavable egg sandwiches.

I hurt my shoulder a week ago.
What is means is I can’t work out my upper body.
but Legs and core don’t have an excuse.
