So the good news is I’m completely debt free! Woohoo! The bad news is that I am unemployed and have been unemployed for quite awhile. I had a job as a nanny that started and ended abruptly last week. I started caring for the couple’s newborn baby on monday and by Thursday the mom had lost her job. Really depressed me and I don’t think I’ve climbed out of the fog bank yet. It soesn’t help that their are few jobs in this town and I’ve burned some bridge at some places where I was gainfully employed…

The good news is that I’m moving forward with a plan to start my own childcare company. It’s called “Baby love – childcare for newborns and infants”. I’m going to take the rest of this year and plow forward with that business (I already have all the equipment from taking care of my fiance’s little one), until we can get the rest of the renovations done to our detached mother -in-law suite for a real preschool/daycare that I’m going to open in 2014.

Honestly though, if it doesn’t work out, I might even just say scew it and go work fast food (something that I would never have imagined doing in my previously spoiled life!). There’s no shame in doing what has to be done to make a buck. 12 months ago
