Will be going to the local community college for now. Hoping to move in with a friend in the fall so it’s still a fairly new experience.
Also hoping to find a Troy & Abed to my Annie <3 13 months ago
How I did it: Happiness kind of went with the confidence goal. When I stopped worrying about everything (I still worry about stuff, but not as much as I used to) and began to take time to sit back and savor happy moments, it made it easier to appreciate those moments later on. And when I think about all those moments that made me happy I know that life is good no matter how dim it may seem at times. Read how I did it… 13 months ago

When I began playing bass guitar in the marching band I had no clue it would eventually lead to me becoming a percussionist by winter. When concert band time rolled by there was no need for bass guitar and I began practicing snare rudiments just for fun and was even able to play snare at a couple basketball games! I’m not very good on the drum set, but it’s kind of difficult to practice that when you don’t have one. I’m still happy to have been given the chance to become a better musician! 13 months ago
How I did it: I stopped worrying about how others saw me and more how I see myself. I wasn't happy with the way I looked so I started doing things to change that view, like buying clothes that fit my body shape, eating healthier, and being more active. I stopped trying to be somebody and am just myself and people seem to appreciate that. Read how I did it… 13 months ago
Seniors have got about three weeks of school left!
Our English class is currently reading George Orwell’s 1984 and the game our teacher has designed to go along with the book is doing a swell job of making those remaining three weeks miserable!

Band has been a big factor in me becoming more active. Even when it’s not marching season, steel band can be quite physical, with all the packing and unpacking of the steel pans. Even jazz band keeps me active, yesterday we took a trip to a jazz festival and of course that involved a decent amount of walking!
When band isn’t keeping me active, I’ve begun doing some light calisthenics in my free time. I figure light exercise is better than no exercise and I plan to keep adding to my routine! 13 months ago
I’m roughly 155 lbs currently. Losing weight is easy when you’re preoccupied! 13 months ago
I haven’t been on 43Things in a very long time. But it still took me about seven months after my last post on here to find a job. And it took the help of a friend who already worked there! It really does help to know people. 13 months ago
How I did it: I saw the Sick Puppies play at a local joint with my aunt. The show was a lot of fun, more fun than I anticipated. Good crowd, lots of drunks as always haha. Afterwards they held a meet & greet and even though I only got to talk to them for about five seconds it was still pretty cool!
:) Now I'm seeing blink-182 play Riverbend next week. My brother got us pit seats for my birthday! :) Read how I did it… 21 months ago

Today was my last day as a junior. I’m officially a senior now.
Today is so beautiful, I am both very happy and sad.
The end of the year is always so hard.
I hope all the students out there have a safe and fun summer!! :) 1 year ago
I don’t understand how people can be so fucking selfish. I really don’t get it. It just makes me want to puke.

10 days of school left!
5 days of shit schedule
2 days of regular school
3 days of finals
SUMMER.
Tomorrow is the junior class’s “Character Building Day.” Basically, our school is wasting money for people to come to our school, stuff us in an unheated/unairconditioned gym and imitate the MTV show “If You Really Knew Me.” The sophomores did it yesterday and when they came back to school 7th period everybody had tear stained faces and hugged each other and said their lives were changed… but only until this morning, when everyone was back to “hating” each other. I understand that the school is only trying to help, and this might have something to do with one of my classmates committing suicide earlier this year, but I don’t think it’s going to work. Maybe it will open a few peoples’ eyes and that’s all that matters, but I’m very, very uncomfortable with it. When that student passed away, everyone went on and on about how different things were going to be. How everything was changed. Yet, that same afternoon after school two girls screamed and a fight broke out. Why? Because of a stupid fucking boy. If a person dying couldn’t change our student body, what makes the administrators think a bunch of middle-aged Christians with visors and Papa John’s pizza can? And if so, why should I have to be forced to sit in a group with people that I don’t trust and tell them my entire life story? Nobody thinks their life is easy, there’s things that I have a rough time with. But somebody always has it worse. Always. Who am I to whine about something so insignificant to all the wrong in this world? Thank goodness my parents understand how uncomfortable this whole program makes me and they are letting me stay home from school tomorrow.
On a more positive note, Friday is the German class BBQ in the courtyard. It will be like having recess again!! :) 2 years ago
I’m babysitting tomorrow night from 5:30-10:00 :)
If things go well, I’ll probably be sitting once or twice a month.

The craigslist jobs didn’t turn out…
But I just got a call from a friend…!
She said her mom’s friend has a 3 year old boy and she wants a babysitter “that won’t just sit there and text.” Boom!
The woman needs a sitter for this Thursday from 5-Midnight, but I doubt I’ll be able to do that. Damn school nights.
Hopefully we can work something out!! :) 2 years ago
