I ate the best meal. For $23 and another $4 for the happy hour beer. It started with a delicious crab caesar salad, followed by thick strips of calamari that was breaded in coconut and deep fried served with a sweet dipping sauce and a generous swordfish stromboli. Sounds weird? It was delicious. Large chunks of swordfish, basil pesto and dry cheese in a toasty hot bread wrap that was salty and a little crunchy. Interesting. Very far. Very worth it. We saw orange lava glowing at the bottom of the crater that opened in 2008 and again along the rim glowing in the distance as it crawls towards the sea. The endless fields of lava rubble are baffling. People are building houses on the rims of the live volcanoes. There is a public warning system for Tsunamis / Lava flow. The ocean view is great since the trees and forests have been buried. 14 months ago

Annoying and contrived. Too many big scenes, not enough plot. I was stuck on a plane. I also watched the second half of Valentines Day which was astonishingly bad. It was filled with A list actors playing tiny little parts. 14 months ago

Into a non stick pan goes some liquid, usually milk or stock, some vegetable, today I used shredded zucchini, some oatmeal, because it is so good for fiber and will absorb all of the liquid, some cheese, some spices, stir to hot and soupy, then turn the heat down and stir in two eggs. Every night my son plays violin and I help him the entire time, if I am home, which is most of the time. Then we do 10 minutes of math drills and I watch him to every problem, correcting as he progressed and encouraging good handwriting. It is tedious, but I am sure that is he better. 16 months ago

Onion, carrot, celery, garlic, potato, cabbage, chard, white beans, tomatoes, stock and stale bread. The bread is floated on top of the simmering soup and left for a long time. No stirring! Gently scooped into a bowl and topped with grated cheese. Perfect for winter. 16 months ago
