S19111downsize

now it’s only 93 books. I’ve removed sequels (if I wanted to read a five book series, and previously had all five books on my shelf, I’ve removed all but the first) and I’ve removed books that I know I have to read in school anyway so that the list looks more manageable. I can finish most everything by 2015 except maybe for the multiple series.
Time to get reading :-) 4 months ago

S19111Good reads!

It’s such a worthwhile thing to keep track of what you’re reading and what you think of the books! I’m in love with the website goodreads.com for that purpose :-)
It helps you find books you’ll love through books you’ve already read. I honestly rave about it to everyone. Plus they have an iPhone app with a scanner where you can scan the barcode on a book and it’ll save the info for you. I think it’d be really helpful to you in your goal! If you decide to get one let me know what you think; I’m addicted :-)

I brought my current computer to get fixed, so I give up on this goal for the foreseeable future. 4 months ago

Sadly there’s really no way to make your hair grow faster. Just time :-/
But taking care of it makes it seem like it’s growing faster! Such as don’t shampoo everyday, eat healthily, don’t brush it a lot (brushing pulls at your hair and breaks it), don’t heat style that often, get split ends cut regularly, deep condition from time to time… It’ll seem like it’s growing faster because your ends will be healthier and won’t break off or need to be cut as often. Although your hair now looks really healthy so I assume you’re already taking good care of it :-)
My hair three years ago was about your length and now it’s as long as the girl’s picture. You just have to wait and it’ll get there. 5 months ago

S19111to someone other than Locks of Love

I’d like to donate my hair, but not to Locks of Love. From what I’ve read, they (1) sell (not donate) the wigs they make to sick childrens’ families and (2) throw out/sell (to normal people at really low prices) the hair that doesn’t match their standards, which is apparently most of it. That’s really far off from what my impression of them was, whether they intentionally deceive or I just had a false impression I don’t know. Regardless I think it’s important to actually do good with my donation so if anyone has donated to a good charity, please share! 5 months ago

S19111Help!

I’ve only had mine a few years, but it’s on its way out. It takes like ten minutes to start-up and has such a hard time running The Sims 3 which is a deal-breaker ;-P Seriously The Sims 3 is a computer killer so I don’t want to ruin an expensive computer with it but I need one that’s good enough to actually run the game so… any suggestions? 5 months ago

I didn’t have them together, I just made them both with the juicer. I heard you could use the VERT to make things other than juice so I figured I’d try it :-)
For the coconut milk, you need a whole coconut. You blend together its water and meat in a blender, then run that through the juicer. It’s good! I’ve never had store bought coconut milk though so I’m not sure how it compares.
For the peanut butter, you just feed peanuts through the juicer. It comes really smooth but sticks to the juicer so badly. It tasted good, but I probably won’t try it again since clean-up was so annoying.
Next I want to try almond milk! I tried it once with my old juicer, which was centrifugal and it didn’t come out great, but I heard the single-augers do it better.
