The hardest thing about working on this goal is coming to the realization that I am not actually a kind or loving person. I am with a select few; my husband, my kids, my few close friends, some extended family members. Pretty much everyone else I view through the lens of suspicion and mistrust and disregard. Of course this affects how I interact and communicate with people. Still hooping, I now hoop on days I don’t go to the gym. So it ends up being 3-4 days a week. Still have my $3 hoop from Walmart…I suppose I should upgrade! 4 months ago

I plan to re-open in October 2013 so that’s less than a year away now! Things change, plans need to get shifted, but you keep it moving. My old location fell through so now I’m on the lookout for a new storefront. This time I’ll get something closer to where I live. I already have a few places in mind. I decided to do NaNoWriMo this year sort of last minute, as in 2 weeks before. Even then I did not have a story idea until the day before. Finally settled on writing a story about substitute teaching in an urban school system. Write what you know, eh? LOL
Finished with 780 on November 1st, not bad. I was on a roll but needed to stop to work on this other writing project I have going on before bed. I needed to hit the hay by midnight tonight, morning comes crisp and early! 6 months ago

After the last hooping challenge I stopped hooping daily, now I hoop 4-5 days a week. It’s going well, though I have yet to buy a heavier hoop. Need to get on that! 6 months ago

So my waist was 38 inches on June 14th, 2012. As of August 8th, 2012 it’s 35.75 inches! Yay! I want to get it at least 30 inches. Onward! 9 months ago

I started my Master’s program in April 2011. Then I decided to take off some time in fall 2011…that time has crept up to now! So I’ve decided to start classes up again in October 2012, and press on through until I’m done. 9 months ago

Since the hooping challenge earlier in the summer I’ve continued hooping. Not every day, now I only hoop on days I don’t go to the gym. So it’s 3-4 days a week. I still do 30 minutes at a time. I’ve improved on it, I now only drop it a few times during the half hour. Once I actually went all the way through without dropping it! 9 months ago

Last night of the hooping challenge, I made it! Woooo-hoooo! It went great, and I’m so glad it’s over LOL. 30 days of continuos hooping, I cant believe I did it. I’m going to continue hooping, just not 30 minutes daily. Maybe just 15 minutes a day. 10 months ago

I was so fat to start with…238 in January 2012, 214 by June 2012, 202 as of July 7th 2012. My weight loss really started accelerating in June, I boosted my exercise quite a bit. I hope to keep up this pace so I hit my goal weight by my birthday in January. We will see :) 10 months ago

I am happy to report that I am no longer obese!! I checked my BMI (body mass index) the other day and saw I am now at a weight that makes me ‘merely’ overweight. Yay!! We went to a family reunion, it was so much fun seeing so many relatives I haven’t seen in a while! I really enjoyed myself, but by the time we got home I was beat. Keep forgetting to post here about my hooping LOL, the past few days have been OK. I’‘ve been dropping the hoop about 4 times during a 30 minutes session, which isn’t too bad. My goal of course is to keep it up the whole 30 minutes. 10 months ago

First off I got mad because it’s too hot for this ish! I whined about that for a while. That segued into a self-pitying rant of me whining about being so fat, hooping all the while. I was going to listen to music tonight while hooping but instead I watched part of The Ed Show and then part of Rachel Maddow. That made me feel somewhat better. Finally it was over! Hula hooping tonight was good. I find it’s easier when I keep my mind off of it; not focus on it so much while I am doing it. Tonight’s entertainment while hooping was this show called Rizzoli and Isles. Another show I’ve never seen before, I think it is new but for all I know it’s been on for years LOL. Hula hooping tonight went ok. I tried bending at the knee and that helped somewhat. I watched this show called The Mentalist while I was hooping. I’d never watched it before, it was ok. Doubt I’ll bother watching it again though. 10 months ago
