Bedhead2How about

if those tights are ripped as well? Yep…there is always a way to take it to another level! 2 months ago

Bedhead2What should we name the next one!

It will be April 20 through May 20th!
It could be something about May Day, or anything else!
Give me some ideas! :)

First day of summer
Festival of Flora
Beltane

May Day is related to the Celtic festival of Beltane and the Germanic festival of Walpurgis Night. May Day falls exactly half a year from November 1, another cross-quarter day which is also associated with various northern European pagan and the year in the Northern hemisphere, and it has traditionally been an occasion for popular and often raucous celebrations.
As Europe became Christianized, the pagan holidays lost their religious character and either changed into popular secular celebrations, as with May Day, or were merged with or replaced by new Christian holidays as with Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and All Saint’s Day. In the twentieth and continuing into the twenty-first century, many neopagans began reconstructing the old traditions and celebrating May Day as a pagan religious festival again.
In the Roman Catholic tradition, May is observed as Mary’s month, and in these circles May Day is usually a celebration of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In this connection, in works of art, school skits, and so forth, Mary’s head will often be adorned with flowers in a May crowning. Fading in popularity since the late 20th century is the giving of “May baskets,” small baskets of sweets and/or flowers, usually left anonymously on neighbours’ doorsteps.[2]

While February 1 was the first day of Spring, May 1 was the first day of summer; hence, the summer solstice on June 25 (now June 21)
was Midsummer.

Bedhead2Holly Holy Hoopsy

Neil Diamond song is surprisingly fun to hoop to (or maybe only if you are a total nerd :P).

I practiced paddling which eluded me for most of my hooping life until today.

I also did lots of arm stuff that I’m surprised I have the strength to do. I did build up some interesting arm strength in the past two years. Loving my heavy hoop:)

Bedhead2I think

You would be an awesome teacher. I would love to learn from you. I love your hooping style, it’s relaxed seeming, yet you do lots of awesome tricks. A style any teen would love!

I vote for you! I hope you win! :) 2 months ago

Depends on the situation. Getting back at a person could be a subtle thing. You could just stay away and thank god you aren’t the kind of person that would do what that person did.
Living well is also a great idea!

Are you going to tell us more about this? Inquiring minds want to know :P 2 months ago

Bedhead2This guy I knew

Said in prison they would save all of the fruit & ferment it an make booze!

Fruit and meat, okay, well it sounds more nutritious in prison than bread…and pastries. 2 months ago

Bedhead2Maybe because

they have had it all so there is nothing left to wish for?

Or, too much alcohol, drugs, travel…they are just spent! 2 months ago

Bedhead2Probably :)

Or it’s part of his character. He created the UK show Black Books where he played the owner of a used book store that was always drunk & smoking & hated customers—-very funny!! :) 2 months ago

Bedhead2Hey

I’m listening to this comedy show,
and right while we were talking about Fruitcake, Dylan Moran started talking about bread and fruit. Kind of funny!!

Bedhead2I'm sure I could

ignore the dried fruit if it tasted like booze…

But the color of the fruit is the part I couldn’t deal with. It’s like eating bread with Skittles in it… 2 months ago

I don’t mind banana bread, I like zucchini bread, carrot cake…

I really don’t like dried fruit in a cake in that form. If it was all blended together and unidentifiable it would be fine I guess!

I don’t really even like oatmeal raisin cookies, when I am eating something sweet, I don’t want to find dried fruit in it.
Dried fruit is great on it’s own, and it’s SUPER SWEET.
I would rather find chocolate in my desserts than dried fruit. Nut’s are okay though, no problem.

I was reading about a fruit cake from another country, it’s basically a cake soaked in rum. The fruit is soaked in rum for a long time before it’s used…I think that sounds great. A rummy cake! I would put some whipped cream on it! 2 months ago

I like sad or semi-depressing movies when I’m sad. I can cry it out. I feel comforted by the heavy feeling in the movie that matches my own.

I noticed the show Wallander was very comforting to me…but it’s a little on the heavy side,

I love the movie Mother with Albert Brooks. She’s So Lovely, Men don’t leave….Color Purple…
Those are movies I have seen over and over again, 2 months ago

Bedhead2Because

Look at that fruit!! Red & Green strange looking fruit.

I don’t think dried fruit really has a place in bread. Maybe dates, or figs…but nothing else.

What do they do to that fruit to make it look so unnatural!? YUCK!

Oh, I see, it’s all candied! Yuck!
Plus, green cherries?

3 cups whole red and green candied cherries
3 cups diced candied pineapple

Bedhead2Looking Back

I’m working my way through The Best Of Hall & Oats and hooping along to each song.
For me this is GREAT hooping music. I change the style with each song. I’m all hot and sweaty now and taking a break!

My arms are much stronger & I’m able to hold my heavy hoop steady during all kinds of moves. It seemed like I was just about to get leg hooping today. I really having tried much because it usually hits the couch.

Bedhead2Oh cool!

When can I see the footage? Will I have to wait until the contest starts?

I checked youtube and saw the video, it’s GREAT!! I loved the music (Tool & Bill Hicks, Cameo!) too!! 2 months ago

Bedhead2Yoga unlimited!!!

A friend of mine is a yoga teacher & he’s an awesome guy. I just found out today that his studio posts yoga videos weekly and there are hundreds of full classes you can watch for only $15 per month (unlimited!)

I’m going to sign up for 1 month to show my support and see him do his thing. My coworker does it an likes how convenient it is to have a class online, in your livingroom (great for new mom’s or home bodies!).

Let me know if you want the link for the studio, you can get started. 2 months ago

Bedhead2It's practically free

I could text you right now through Skpye, or I could do a video call with Nicolasc & show her a hooping move…or I could call NYC for almost nothing …

Get it! :) 2 months ago

Maybe you could say ‘older brother’ instead of daughter?
I think telling her that she’s just too young for you would be okay. That you feel protective of her like an older brother.

Could you be convinced to change your mind? She might try to convince you unless you make it clear (in a nice way) that you two would make better friends than anything else. 2 months ago
