7. Get away from coke and coffee. They stimulate stomach badly, especially coke. If drinking coffee, it must be very thin coffee or with milk. Never drink more than one cup of coffee everyday. 10 months ago
Thanks to the medicines my doctor prescribed, I am feeling much better now. But I would say that is the just the start—better health requires more endeavors than just taking medicines. The following tips will help me better protect my stomach:
1. Again, never smoking
2. Very seldom drinking
3. Having meals on time
4. Stick to the new bedtime
5. Not over-eating
6. Keep away from negative emotions 10 months ago
This original goal is almost impossible to achieve at my current workload: graduate study with pressure from experiments and publishing.
Therefore, I encourage myself to go to bed before 12:00 am. One thing to celebrate is that when I got rid of cigarettes and my stomach acidic reflux was cured, I am feeling much better in daytime than before.
So just changed it a little bit to 12am, and make it whatever happens. 10 months ago
I believe I am done with smoking now if there is no environmental/external stimulus.
To put it in a simple: I could not smoke anymore because of acidic reflux. Quitting is the only way to go.
It has been about three weeks since my last cigarette.Carry on! 10 months ago
To go to bed until feeling tired with a book is a good experience and there is nothing to complain to me unless work plan of the second day is hampered. Maybe you can try a book you do not like just before your bed time. 11 months ago
10-11pm is the perfect time going to bed. 11 months ago
I’ve been told several stories that tell we can quit smoke for once and forever. Small steps may help. but it is less effective to me. Just my 2 cents: it is easier to make no mistake than to make 2% of mistake in any thing. 11 months ago
I like this series of entries of happy times. When you think positively and have confidence in yourself, you’ll find life with more interesting things instilled. Carry on writing till you feel absolutely happy about yourself.
A comment: when I read through the term “passive aggressive behavior”, I realized although in my parents family we tend not to have this issue, it actually exists. So it inspires me to forgive and to encourage family members all the way. 11 months ago
This habit makes lots of friends frown over me, and makes me lose credibility and self-confidence. I tried numerous times quitting it. Whenever it was time to start, I started again.
Yesterday night I felt a crave to smoke, and meanwhile felt an un-comfortablility in my body, so I was talking to myself sincerely: this habit leads me to desperation and bad health, so I must get rid of it.
I used to comfort my self using the say that God creates the world in seven days but not one day; however this time I am determined that I will never touch a cigarette from now on unless someone else offers. 11 months ago
I taught a couple of people playing mahjong earlier this year. Americans usually are not very interested in playing it.
I am not attempting to persuade you but having a hobby that you really enjoy is a lucky thing. just my two cents. btw, i have not seen anyone shopping to poverty. 11 months ago
You look like a professional American majoring in room cleaning. Good start. 11 months ago
Yes, that would be a great idea to say more yes and be more cheerful.
I’ve spent sometime with a complaining roommate and it was a terrible experience. 11 months ago
With or without friends should I spend one or two days and nights in this way. It helps me to release stress from graduating work. Could be a road trip to Chicago, to Wisconsin, or anywhere else around. Or even days spent in a hotel would help—with a complete release. A navana. 11 months ago
