Thank you so much for your comment. Blood is so vital to us all. Some need blood transfusions for emergency purposes and others need regular transfusions for long periods of time. What a gift from God and science that blood can be donated and transfused to save lives!!!!! It’s a simple procedure-. It’s not like giving up a kidney as your body replaces the source and you are able to donate again. I used to donate all the time before I fell ill so I’m glad I was able to contribute when I did as I am so grateful that many unselfish people donate their time and blood in order that I can continue to live a wonderful life. So, I’ll say it again, “Thank you to all the blood donors of the world. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME THE BLOOD OF LIFE!”
I’m throwing all caution to the wind and heading to Washington DC on Tuesday! I can’t pass up a private tour of The West Wing, Oval Office, Supreme Court and the chance to meet The President.
Hope you have a great one!
Wishing you the love and support you need along this journey. I enjoyed chatting with you on Facebook. We do have a lot in common. You don’t always have to be strong all the time. You can break down and cry and nurture yourself rather then beating yourself up or trying to be “more perfect.” You are equiped with resiliency and you are brave and strong, but it’s ok not to be once in awhile. I know the longing for support, comfort and reassurance is something your inner child and the grown-up in you wants desperately. Despite what you don’t have around you…you have something strong within you. I’ll step on this journey with you. We’ll make it. Two peas in a pod! We can’t rely on Captain Morgan forever, you know! (and I know you know what I mean, haha!) Hope the treadmill didn’t beat you up at the gym! Now exercise…that’s something I NEED!!!
That is so great that you found sometthing that works for you and is individually tailored to your needs. I think I’ll look into the ESQ training a little closer. Good luck with the rest of your goals!
cancerfree2003 wrote about How to help my grandma with her "Bucket List":
"I wasn't able to do much personally but my mom vicariously helped her with some of her goals "
How I did it: I wanted to participate as much as I could but was limited. My mom and grandma have been living it up knowing my grandma was dying from the same illness I had a bone marrow transplant for (a rare form of leukemia). Tomorrow I must say goodbye to my grandma. This will be the last time I will see her alive. I will miss her.
Lessons & tips: "Live like you are dying." Each day is a gift. You only have this one time to experience all that life has to offer. Don't let it pass you by.
It took me 2 months.
It made me sad to lose her ![]()
It’s pine (Evergreen),possible lodge pole pine, soft wood, about 4 feet long
I am so sorry to hear this. I hope your precious heart is able to heal. It will take some time and I know trust is a big issue. Be especially kind and loving towards yourself right now. It hurts, but he is the one who has lost out big time. Hang in there.
I found the perfect stick for me last year when I was hiking in the Uinta Mountains. I’ve taken part of the bark off. I now need to take the rest of the bark off, sand it down, carve in it and put a lauqer coat on it. This should be fun!
