cats5kids3Sorry if it didn't feel like encouregment...

As I said my dad still went after that. I loved going, and want to go again! 2 days ago

cats5kids3Been whitewater rafting several times...

It is on my list again. It is so much fun. My dad did lots of trips all over the states and also in Canada. He once got knocked out of the raft by some lady who hit him in the nose with his paddle. His nose was broken, and he got swept under the raft. He went to the hospital and then got back on the trip and finished the run. I think it was a week long trip. My dad was a great swimmer. He was a life guard in Atlantic City, NJ when he was young. The experience did not bother him, he still went whitewater rafting after that! 2 days ago

cats5kids3I feel like I am doing better with this...

but still have a way to go. My oldest grandson now tells me when I curse and I think that helps. Sometimes I don’t even know I am cursing. Think before you speak. Be impeccable with your words. 2 days ago

cats5kids3I have always had this bug...

my mom use to tell her kids that we had gypsy blood, and that’s why we all liked to travel so much. I was always right there to go for a ride in the car(even though I often got car sick). Anytime asked if I wanted to go…the answer was always yes. I don’t care where I go, I just want to go.
However, I just took two trips one in March and one in May and my brain is still trying to figure out how I can go somewhere again. Don’t care if it is a road trip or train, bus, cruise, or plane…just give me the means to travel.
Traveling does not quiet down the bug. Actually I think it makes it worse. A friend and I were talking and she was telling me how she has always wanted to go to Africa. She also wants to go to Brazil. How and she would like to go to Arizona. Ha…she asked me and I said Africa, somewhere in South America, Asia, Antarctica, several places in Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, and the top five southwest states of the US. That’s just to name a few. She said you weren’t kidding about having a lot of places.
Told you! 2 days ago

cats5kids3I am trying to get more people to go with me next time...

I have asked several friends. One said yes, but not the kind of yes that she thinks I am serious. I would book a flight today for next year if I could, but it is too early. As soon as I book a flight I am going to book my reservation for the jump! Anybody going to come and meet me there? 2 days ago

cats5kids3I met a couple many years ago...

while I was attending community college. They both worked at the same restaurant Friday and Saturday nights. They did not have any other job. They made so much money that they paid all their living expenses in a little apartment, paid cash for their college classes and still had money to travel on school breaks. Find the right place to wait tables and that could actually be a great thing. My dad worked in restaurants for over fifty years and most of the time he did really well. He worked in a place called The Rick Shaw in where he meet famous people like Dianna Ross, Louie Armstrong and many more. He use to have autographed pictures, but they disappeared three, which I have now that he passed away. 6 days ago

cats5kids3Good Luck...

My dad always told me you have to play to win. Also he told me to only buy one ticket at a time. If you don’t win with one than you are wasting money. He never won the “big one”, but he won ten thousand twice. Paid off all his bills, then went out and recharged them back up. Kind of a waste if you ask me. Buy I do play once in a while. 6 days ago

cats5kids3a day late...

Happy Belated Birthday to you! 1 week ago

cats5kids3In life you are only responsible for you...

what a great and brave decision. I only have a bachelors degree. I loved being in college. Thought about going on for a masters, but the bachelors never paid off. I admire you having the guts to do what you feel is right for you. It is your life and you must do what is right for you.
Nobody knows what is right for you, but you. You came into this world alone, you life it alone, and you die alone…meaning only you can be inside you, and nobody can feel exactly what you feel. What is the motive behind your decision? Are you doing it to hurt someone? If not than it is probably the right decision for you. I know lots of people that have gotten masters degrees and more and there life was not any better. Often there is something inside that keeps them from succeeding and the degree does not change that. People are who they are and if they do not change inside, then the outside degrees and stuff won’t matter. Live, and let live, laugh, and love, be impeccable with your words-not hurting people on purpose and just live the good life! Best of luck to you! 1 week ago

cats5kids3Got a CD from church from a guest speaker...

The Associate pastor’s wife gave me a copy of it. I liked it so much I made ten copies and am sending it to ten people. I hope they are as inspired by it as I am.

cats5kids3Wow! What a school year...

In the beginning the second oldest was having lots of issues. Mom went over to the school to pick him up, but once she got there he calmed down and stayed in school.
Turns out the oldest had the most problems and several times we had to go pick him up. In the end he had a paraprofessional one on one, and not in the class with the other kids. Last day for the oldest. Next year he will have the paraprofessional again.
Lots of counseling for both, plus sensory therapy. Both were diagnosed with mood disorder, ODD just to mention a few of the diagnosis.
Am reading a book called the Explosive Child by Ross Greene and it describes both my grandson’s to a tee. The counselor said once I finish reading the book he would help me get started. He said in the end the boys would tell me what they need. So after going through hell, I feel like there is hope for them, but it is going to take a lot of changes on both of our parts. 1 week ago

cats5kids3I wonder how it would be to have a church wedding Easter Monday next year?

April 21, 2014 is Easter Monday and I wonder if that would work to have a church wedding and a reception afterwards. I am set to have a church wedding on the day we got married in the court house. Just a thought! 1 week ago

cats5kids3Excellent!!!

I was also curious about the dance. It is fabulous that you took that leap of faith and now are being rewarded for it! Keep up the good work and the posts about it as well! 2 weeks ago

cats5kids3This was fabulous...

So glad I was blessed to be apart of something so wond3erful! It cost me a lot of money, but I am so glad I did it. I recommend everybody to go to one of their events if they can. They are going all over the world. I think they will be in New Zealand in October. 2 weeks ago

shoes?
clothes?
My daughter does a lot of shopping at online yard sales for our area. Something for you to look into when you want to sell things. She has bought shoes for her kids, and then sold them when they out grow them. 3 weeks ago

cats5kids3I have finally started really working on this goal...

Most of the people I am writing to have gone through breast cancer. The list is getting longer every time I look up someone. I finally really sent eleven letters, only a few have had breast cancer, but right now I have twelve letters started and all of them have had breast cancer. I started another list and so far it contains eight other names. Everyone I write to will not have breast cancer, but I think it will be great inspiration if I should hear back from some of the survivors! 4 weeks ago

cats5kids3Don't worry too much for Smokey...

My Lucy is not an outside cat, but a few years ago she thought she wanted to be and she kept escaping from the house. First she was gone a few days, then a week. The last time she got out she was gone more than two weeks. She finally came back. She seemed very stressed and has not tried to go out since then. Cats surely do have their own minds, they are great at taking care of themselves, and they being independent. Smokey will be back. 4 weeks ago

cats5kids3Way to go both of you...

I cannot say the struggles of that, but I have certainly seen a lot of people destroy their lives while not being sober! Great job to you both! 4 weeks ago

cats5kids3My hubby is in the green...

His card finally came yesterday. I was so excited I opened it immediately and called him at his job(which I never do). The dairy does not allow workers to receive calls. Lucky he had his cell phone in his pocket. 1 month ago

cats5kids3I thought I would not ever want to do this again...

as it was so scary for me, but I am thinking to go back next year and do it again. I have invited a few friends. Not sure if any of them will go, but what fun it will be! 1 month ago
