Something struck me about your list of “petulant two-year-old” things your body tells you: most of those sound much more like messages from your brain. Brains like rest and easiness and TV and more sugar. To me, listening to your body is more about awareness. How does your body actually feel after a run compared to before it? How does it feel after a sensible meal compared to how it feels after a McDonalds? Bodies really do like movement and stretching and nourishment, honest. (And they don’t like being forced to soldier on when they’re damaged. Please take care of you!) 15 months ago
