Okay so my blog as been up and running now for almost 1 month (my first post was August 10) I’ve had about 850 views so far and 8 posts…...that’s not bad right??? So for all you professional bloggers out there, any tips on how to get more people to subscribe??? Or any tips on how to get more traffic??? Goal is 1000 by my first month (come on, have 2 days!!!) 21 months ago
Finally figured out “tags” and categories as well as how to add links into a post. Things are starting to come together. Just posted my 7th blog. Next step is to slowly start improving the look of it…adding a photo gallery and hopefully a video diary. Feels good to make progress 21 months ago
How I did it: While traveling through the south of Poland, we decided to stay in the city of Krakow and take the sombering trip to Auschitz. We went in December when there were less people, but far colder (and alot more snow.) There are tours you can book all around the city, but many hostels and hotels in the area will book you into a tour (which includes transportation there and back and a tour guide.) Never got sick from it….maybe the trick is to go in the winter when all the germs are frozen over!
with French…I don’t think you can get completely fluent until you immerse yourself for several years. I’ve been living in Monaco for 3 months and have picked up quite a bit more, but it’s great to keep at it and don’t lose what you’ve got! 21 months ago
Every time we share a goal and our accomplishments, I think we “breath life” into someone elses. My hopes are that the more I accomplish, the more others will as well. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all live a happy fulfilled life and accomplish everything we ever wanted??? I will continue to act and do things for myself, in hopes of inspiring others to do the same! 21 months ago

Can’t wait to go myself. Maybe for my birthday this year. Geez I can’t wait!!!
I love photo collages. Maybe someday I’ll do something like that with all my travel photos
Who knows, maybe one day I’ll have my own yacht, but for now I’m enjoying the more simple things in life :)
I also think it’s great to have lots of yummy fresh fruit and nuts lying around. If you want something really sweet, dry dried fruit (like strawberries and mangos) It’s still sugar, but not quite as many calories as the crispy creme donuts. Somehow I’ve managed to avoid fresh croissants and pastries I pick up every morning for work (and this are FRENCH pastries) by making sure I eat some fruit before leaving for the market. I agree with putting healthy things into your body and treating it well!!
Did my first intro dive in the Red Sea and I’m hooked!!! Can’t wait to get certified
How I did it: I got a job working on a yacht last year. I lived and worked on board a beautiful 35m M/Y for about 5 months as we sailed around the mediterranean. Of course, probably not the same living conditions compared to if I actually owned the yacht, but still saw and learned alot of amazing things as a result. Read how I did it… 21 months ago
Okay so it took me 16 months after leaving home to finally start a blog. I’ve been journaling the whole time of course, but didn’t want to deal with the whole technical side to things and kept getting so annoyed with all the technical lingo that I kept avoiding it.
So here it is in the most non-exciting form that I could figure out.
Anyone out there in the blog world who might be a little more advanced then me that could help me figure out how to spruce it up a bit (and ultimately get more traffic?) I’ve gone through the tutorials on wordpress, but still can’t figure out what the hell “tag’s” and blog rolls and all that mumbo jumbo is.
my site is http://journeythroughthirty.wordpress.com
thanks for any feedback or suggestions and hopefully hope to have it looking nice and pretty soon!!! 22 months ago
Ha ha. Finally managed to break down my “brainstorming wall” and actually start writing content. Can’t believe how fast the words start flowing once they finally come. 4 pages in the last 2 days (which isn’t alot, but is compared to the fact that I had nothing!!!!
Small goal is to focus on at least 1 full page (around 900 words per day) Got to take advantage of this down time at work before I start traveling again and my life becomes hectic. So proud of myself for finally starting!!! 22 months ago
If all goes to plan, I could be in Sweden or Norway by the end of next month (which according to Lonely Planet is the perfect time to start viewing anywhere near the artic circle. Hopefully mother nature is on my side, but just in case I miss it, a re-try is already scheduled for Alaska next summer with my dad. Wish me luck!!! Any tips?? 22 months ago
Okay,so I’m heading to Portugal in October (which I hear has some great surfing there. Was definitely going to head to Lagos, but does anyone know any other good spots to try?
I’ve tried once in South Florida (which of course had no waves making it a little difficult. I’ve wakeboarded and snowboarded quite a bit. Any tips on how it’s different??? 22 months ago
Sometimes getting a fresh start is the best way. I started the same way, moving across country from Utah to Florida and then decided to take an even bigger leap across the big pond. Good luck with your journey of self discovery and embrace every moment of it.
