Got a lot done; going to bed and then, for Sunday day…set the timer and see can I get these items done in under 15 minutes each
1. Pack all my special occasion clothes and shoes
2. Put all the donation stuff in my jeep
3. Pack my fancy boxes from the bathroom (ok, this probably will take longer than 15 minutes)
4. Throw out stuff I’m not taking to TN, even if I might want to use it until then (i.e. keep my opened jar of my favorite hand cream and throw out all other opened jars; give away unopened jars… I mean, yes, I live in the desert, but how many jars of hand cream does a woman really need?)
5. Make a list and send son to do grocery shopping
We are down to 4 weeks pre-move. We can sandwich, paper plates, and do without. Pack it, donate it, or trash it; don’t want to see it. 10 months ago
Really get rid of JUNK in my life. Some stuff that I’ve been carrying around for a LONG time that has now been donated or just plain thrown out in the trash! I’m not quite at the level of the “hoarders” on TV, but I can see that I have the genetics to go down that road! It has been freeing to let it go and just keep things that I LOVE. 10 months ago
I’ve thanked the important people in my life one way or another. I’ll always be needing to thank them, but at least I’ve done it once. And – Thank You, 43 things, for helping me to accomplish my tasks, achieve my goals, and live life fully! 10 months ago
1. Got quotes from moving companies for our many vehicles
2. Finalized which vehicles we are moving ourselves, and which we are paying to move
3. Decided on a route
4. Updated budget
5. More packing, more donating, more throwing things away
6. Pets that are not coming with us have been rehomed
7. Good-bye parties and such lined up
8. Actual moving date reconfirmed
Still MORE to do, but the project has taken on a life of its own now! YES, Just Throw It Out (or Donate It, since I am still driving to work and there is a donation place near by). Going, going, almost gone! 10 months ago
Doing it! A few more boxes to donate. Several more bags of stuff not nice enough to donate – so donating to the trash bin. A fresh start, 2200 miles away. Yay Team! 10 months ago
Almost makes me feel as light as actually losing weight around my middle! Do I love it? Am I paying for the gas to haul it 2,200 miles? Am I paying for the time to pack it? If I don’t love it, then the answer is no, no, no! 10 months ago
As a result of moving, LOL! But it ain’t done yet, so I can’t cross it off for a few more weeks… :-) 10 months ago
Dye your hair, get your nails done, put on a fabulous smile, and lie through your teeth like I do – I’m 38, and that’s my story, and I’m sticking too it. (I decided I couldn’t pull off 28 any more, because, well, I probably was born in the same year your were) Some of my friends know I’m not 38, but I don’t think they think I’m, uh, older than 48! You can do it, too. Some of the girls I went to high school with think I’m silly, and know my real age, but I try not to let that stop me… you could ease into the mind frame by subtracting a year at each birthday until you reach the age you like. You really CAN be whatever and whomever you want to be.

Continuing to throw things out. Now that I am done studying for my PMP Exam, a bunch of papers and related junk can go away. Also, all events requiring dressing up are gone, so I can pack my good clothes and most of my shoes.

I am growing oregano in a 50/50 mix of sand and soil in full desert sun and it loves it. In fact, it has become a weed in my herb garden. If you are growing it inside, maybe it is not getting enough light.
As for lemon balm, my poor plant limps along from year to year, but is not what you call thriving. Curious to know what conditions your lemon balm is growing under? It’s a member of the mint family, so I would have expected it to thrive in just about any condition and become a weed, even.
Good luck! Nothing like the smell and tastes of fresh herbs! Many blessings on all of your adventures! 11 months ago
Tomorrow’s the day, and the dress is fitting! Thanks so much for your encouragement! 11 months ago
