It’s been over a year since I posted in this goal (or any goal for that matter). I have a new blog name and domain – It’s now called Creative Seeker at http://www.creativeseeker.com. I’ve been working on the web design for the past few months, and I am pleased with how it has turned out so far. I took a writing break, then successfully posted for two weeks in a row, but I seem to have hit a road block this week and last week. I have several in-progress posts that I can’t seem to finish. I need to sit down and finish whatever it is, be it the draft or the accompanying photos. Once that happens I will be able to schedule 3 simultaneous posts and be good for a couple weeks. If I can plan to work on it Thursday night and nothing else, I can probably still get a post published for this week. I’ll update again soon :) 5 months ago

I want to say that my intention with this goal was to have a “launch” of my blog, but I’ve realized that growing a blog is an ongoing process. I will always be creating new content and promoting my posts though various social media, trying to share my posts with everyone who would be interested. I’ll be constantly improving the design, categorization, and functionality so if I wait for it to be perfect, I could never consider this goal done. It’s looking great so far and I’ve been writing about once a week. I’m still tweaking the header, but the web design is presentable. I have officially changed the name from mar’contraire to Mare Boutique. I changed my shop name on Etsy, so username is now mareboutique and I bought the domain http://www.mareboutique.com and redirected it to my current etsy store. This way, I can have business cards printed, but I won’t have to reprint or redesign when I upgrade to an ecommerce site.

I am starting from scratch, so I’m working on new copy and photography for my items that I have already made and only listing the items when they are ready to go public.

I have been working on sketches for the new branding. Once I finally decide on this, I can create a banner to match the new identity of Mare Boutique.
