When I was a kid, I fell in love with the movie “Harold ‘n’ Maude,” and the banjo – it was a happy instrument, and it seemed so cavalier and regal. Oddly, I don’t care much for modern country music, but I do like the twang of a banjo. I tried guitar for a while, and unfortunately through damage in my mom’s basement, my guitar is trashed. 2 weeks ago
I currently have two jobs with no benefits, and I would like one fulltime job. 2 weeks ago
You will have so many more options! It is really worth it. I gave up all sorts of stuff people take for granted to do this, and I have so many options open to me, now. Keep up the good work and hang in there! 2 weeks ago
May 11, 2013. I will complete this in May. I pushed myself too hard, and the time went by really fast. I am tired and looking forward to a vacation. 2 months ago
Your blog shows you have quite a bit of passion for make-up and fashion trends! I think it’s important for people to be passionate about something to really have fun writing about it and pursuing it to share more.
My only complaint is that your links, in the lightest turquoise are really hard to see, and I would suggest a slightly darker background or darker link font color.
I really like the layout, design, and content, otherwise – I think your MAC Archie’s posts are too cute! I am happy your relationship with your husband is healthy and he contributes to your fashion passion, too. :)
Thank you for sharing, this gave me a little more perspective of what to look at to create my blog. 3 months ago
That was so me. :) I have a semester left- you probably do too, at this point.
Congratulations!
I was scared of student loans, but I have a minimum, but I keep knocking back $$$ into my savings, hoping I can pay it down to something I can pay off in a year or two without stress, during the grace period.
Are you thinking of doing your masters? 5 months ago
My debts are not so bad. I have four, but I am struggling to find who to contact to deal with it. 10 months ago
I have seen your name on this list too long! I am so happy for you! Super congratulations!
One question: Did it suddenly feel like your last year was in super slow motion at school, and the end was drifting further away, though the rest of your life was moving at normal or a faster pace? I feel like next May is forever away! 11 months ago
We are starting to look for a house in the Phoenix area. I hope to buy in the next year or so. 12 months ago
Okay. I am taking three classes over summer, so I can continue taking 4 classes each semester for the next two semesters.
I have a 4.0 GPA at the university, so far. I hope I can keep it up. It will make it easier for me to push for my masters. 12 months ago
...and if I work hard and stretch myself thin, I could graduate in 3 semesters! Woot! I would take 2 classes this Summer, and then 5 classes each regular semester. 14 months ago
P.S. – He was honking and eating a ton because he started losing his teeth. We switched to soaking his dry food in water, and now he eats more normally and doesn’t have any issues.
How I did it: I finally realized that the cliche, "Don't sweat the small stuff" actually is true, and that I shouldn't have to work at all to have a good relationship. I have positive people in my life, who encourage me and are a good influence.
I removed the devastating people from my life - the ones that were high maintenance for me to be friends with, or just scary. Then I started sorting out my stuff and getting rid of stuff I have been holding on to for sentimental or whatever other reason and just moving around with me, cluttering my life. Then I started doing normal things, like listening to others, exploring, and trying new things. I just feel happy and normal and one with life.
Before, I didn't feel like I fit and I didn't have time for people or activities because of my disorganization and dealing with others. Read how I did it… 3 years ago
What kind of clinic? If it’s something you will enjoy or specialize in doing, and you can do it for a long while with the option of either franchising or selling the business, I say go for it! :) 17 months ago
Food from tins and boxes are never good. Too many chemicals, too much salt, and you have to wonder how old the food really is.
Cooking from scratch is really easy – just become familiar with the terminology, pick a recipe and go. :)
Best wishes with your goal. 17 months ago
I feel you, but not literally, we are both strangers, and this is the internet. I have two jobs on two different sides of town, which schedules conflict with time to study. I was embarrassed because I did my Math homework in my accounting class, my Spanish homework at one of my jobs, my accounting homework two hours before class, using the internet heavily, and my house looked like crap since the semester began.
I am happy you aren’t glum about your struggle for time with classes. I had a replay on a math class I earned a “D” in, and I had to drop an online econ course. Still, I have been going on-and-off and part-time and full-time while working since 1995. I m almost done, it’s been a struggle, but unlike my peers of similar age, I will be up on the newest trends in the industry. :)
Best wishes, and keep going! It’s worth it! 17 months ago
I hope this will be swift. Apparently, though I am considered an “Independent student,” I made crap for income last year, and I work at the college part-time, my financial aid did not grow with my transfer. I was hoping to stave off my student loaning until I was working on my masters or my life goes after-school special and I get pregnant or handicapped or something that would interfere with income.
So, I now have an AA in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. Next, Masteris in Education or my MBA. Which ever one is faster and least expensive. 17 months ago
We are both going to school right now, so hopefully we will move in the next 5 years. It seems like forever, really. 22 months ago
That summed it up. I have three more classes to graduate, and then I transfer. I am not wearing the gown and all that jazz for my AA. I might walk for my bachelor degree, though. 22 months ago
I have been so busy with school and work, I haven’t had time to pull my little machine together! 1 year ago
Waiting for myself to finish school, as well as my mate. Once we are done and we have jobs, it will be time to shop for a house. 1 year ago
Well, I am almost done at the Community College level. I saved quite a bit of cash this way, and it was easier to knock out the bottom two years. It makes a difference to have 25-30 people in a class at a CC versus 50-200 people in a freshman level class at a university. 1 year ago
