mrpebblesmommy12JUST QUOTING FROM A BLOG BY DAVID WILHITE

Finally, consider another definition of contentment by A.W. Pink. It should speak well to any trial you might be going through in life, singleness or otherwise:

"Contentment, then, is the product of a heart resting in God. It is the soul’s enjoyment of that peace that passes all understanding. It is the outcome of my will being brought into subjection to the Divine will. It is the blessed assurance that God does all things well, and is, even now, making all things work together for my ultimate good.” 12 months ago

mrpebblesmommy121 Samuel 12: 20, 22

Samuel answeredL Even though what you did was wrong, you don’t need to be afraid. But you must always follow the Lord and worship Him with all your heart.
...The Lord has chosen you to be His own people. He will always take care of you so that everyone will know how great He is.

I find comfort in the fact that God will not forsake me even though there are many times that I fail Him, because that’s just who He is. :) 12 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12cleared out

I was able to accomplish three things today:

1) Follow-up on my school documents. Particularly my diploma and transcript of records. I have finally graduated! (Moving on to internship!)

2) Get most of my stuff from the hospital.

3) Clear my things out of my dorm, as I am done with my course and am now ready to move.

Next week, I have an orientation for my internship. I’m still at odds as to whether I should start this May or in June. 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12Good goal :)

Hey sister!

I pray that we can both stick with our goals of reading God’s word everyday. I’m sure that we will both be blessed.

Have a good and Godly day! 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12Luke 15: 1-7

.. Day 1 of keeping to the goal of READING MY BIBLE EVERYDAY..

Tax collectors and sinners were all crowding around to listen to Jesus. So the Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses started grumbling, “This man is friendly with sinners. He even eats with them.”

Then Jesus told them this story:
“If any of you has 100 sheep, and one of them gets lost, what will you do? Won’t you leave the 99 in the field and go look for the lost sheep until you find it? And when you find it, you will be so glad that you will put it on your shoulder and carry it home. Then you will call in your friends and neighbors and say, “Let’s celebrate! I’ve found my lost sheep.”

Jesus said, “In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over 99 people who don’t need to.”

Things I’ve learned:
1. This does not mean that sinning is ok.
2. This means that someone who turns away from sin makes God very happy. Happy enough to have a party. :)
3. We all get lost like dumb little sheep at some points in our lives. And I guess God knows that getting lost is very tiring. That’s why He puts us on his shoulder and carries us home. That’s a lot better than running around and not knowing where you’re going.

God bless! 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12Dog Care Essentials: What Every New Dog Owner Should Have

1: Dog Collar . . . Dog ID Tag . . . Dog Leash

Dog Care Essentials . . . for SAFETY & SECURITY-sake . . .

Your dog must always have its ID tag on its dog collar. The tag will contain information about your dog, such as its name, and how to contact the owner should your dog get lost.

A dog leash is used when walking your dog. Once your dog is off your property, you should always have him/her on a leash.

2: Dog Food & Dog Bowls

Dog Care Essentials . . . for NUTRITION-sake . . .

If you are getting a puppy, make sure the dog food you have is appropriate for puppies. Talk to the pet store or veterinarian about the most appropriate food for your dog . . .

From dog food bowls (in stainless or ceramic) to automatic feeders and waterers, you’ll find a good selection on the market. And don’t forget . . . you’ll need two dog bowls—one for food and a separate one for fresh water. Make sure you clean these regularly.

3: Dog Bed (or Dog Bedding)

Dog Care Essentials . . . for COMFORT-sake . . .

Bedding for your dog to sleep in comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can be bought from the pet store or online. You can even make up a comfortable place with old blankets and cushions for your dog to sleep on. A crate is useful for puppies to sleep in.

By the way, if you’re going to be keeping your dog outside the house, your dog needs warm shelter to keep out of the cold weather. There are a variety of dog houses or dog kennels to choose from.

4: Dog Grooming Supplies
Dog Care Essentials . . . for HYGIENE-sake . . .

Of course you’ll need dog shampoo for when you give your dog a bath.

In addition, you should have on-hand a brush, comb and other “dog grooming” implements, especially if you have a long haired dog. Long haired dogs need extra care to keep their coats looking healthy and neat.

You may need to purchase different types of combs, for untangling knots and getting at the dog’s undercoat. Make sure you know what type of grooming tools you need for your breed of dog.

5: Dog Toys

Dog Care Essentials . . . for FUN-sake . . .

Dogs love to chew things and chase balls. Make sure you have a few on-hand for your dog to play with.

FYI: Some dog toys are designed purely as a temporary distraction . . . others are geared toward intelligence development. In either case, ensure you get dog toys that are the right size for your dog. You don’t want ones that are too small and can be accidentally swallowed. 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12I Thessalonians 4:11

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands.

-Ultimately, regardless of whatever it is we strive for, we will end up continuing to just work. I think this is good advice. Set goals, but remember that beyond that you will still have to keep working.- 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12on hyperventilating via ambu bag

For hypoxia..
Usually for patients with ICP problems.. or those arresting.
Keep in mind hyperventilating a patient is only good for 30 minutes. 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12proper ambubagging

Use your thumb to squeeze the bag in a brisk manner in order to put pressure onto it. Make sure that the bag is squeezed hard enough so as to produce an elevation in the patient’s chest just like when he is breathing normally.

Squeeze the Ambu bag once every after 2-3 seconds if the patient is a child, or once every after 5-6 seconds if he is an adult. If the patient still finds it hard to breathe, keep on bagging up to the point where he starts to breathe normally, or until the medical personnel arrive. 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12got addicted to soda

I got addicted to soda during my clerkship year in medical school. At first it was just the McFloats I bought regularly during the nights I was on duty. Then I moved on to buying (and consuming) 1 liter bottles of Lipton sparkling iced tea (since they were on sale in the supermarket near the hospital). Then I moved on to buying (and consuming) 2 liter bottles of Coke. I tried getting off the habit last March. Didn’t work. I can’t stay awake without the stuff.

I’ve finally graduated.. moving on to internship in May. I don’t know if I can quit cold turkey by then. Hopefully.. 13 months ago

mrpebblesmommy12blah days

It’s difficult to appreciate days that are like that.. grey, cold, boring..
But you’re right, we have to be grateful that not every day is like that, and we have to be grateful for life’s contrasts. 13 months ago
