Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

ninjahugDone!!!

I can’t believe I made it. I’m so proud of myself :)
This was my second try and I learned much more than before, I invested in good dictionaries and it paid off.
Although I was not happy with my performance at the exam, apparently I did better than I thought :)
Time to celebrate :) 21 months ago

ninjahug1st step

I have signed up to the library again – I was buying a lot of books and stopped using the library some time ago.
Recently I gave some of my books away to the library and I decided to sign up again.
Now I can work on this goal :) 2 years ago

ninjahugcrocheting 101

I finished the crocheting course – 3×1.5 hour.
And I must say now it seems much clearer than when I was learning from online tutorials.
I am finishing table napkin project – I am doing it to practice the moves and to learn to read the pattern.
Later I want to test a pattern for a huge beautiful crochet blanket that I found in one of the crochet books.
I will be able to copy the pattern, I will order the wool required for it and start working on it – I should be done just in time for fall :)
And this week I have a small project to crack – crochet bunny. 2 years ago

ninjahug1st step

I know crocheting is not rocket sience but somehow I could not get myself to start doing it from online tutorials I found.
I finally signed up for the ‘analogue’ course that starts on March 6.
I can’t wait!
Once I learn the basics I would be able to make use of my amigurumi book.

I want to learn it as I need some pastime that does not involve computer, internet, etc. 2 years ago

ninjahugjumping back on the horse - as we say in Polish

Ok – I gave it a try but I haven’t made it to the next stage of the examination.
Now I need to go and have a look at my exam to see what I did wrong, learn more and try again.
I will give it 3 trials and then I will cross it off my list if I do not succeed. I will find some new top goal then :) 2 years ago
