Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Life is a process that does not end until a person dies. The same is for the simplifying of my life. I have achieved a lot, but will continue to do so. 2 months ago

proudauzzieAt this point in time I don't want to learn a second language

I feel like I want to master my own language first – English (writing n particular still needs improvement).

Then and only then can I move onto another language.

One day it will happen, but not now. 2 months ago

proudauzzieI have finally decided to give up for the time being and redo it again when I am in a better state to do it

So I am going to give up at least for the time being.

Last night I spoke to my husband about my drinking of soft drink and my emotions that are caught up in it.

After a while I realised that I will never give it up while I still have the emotional crap connected to it. I have to deal with all of that before I can give it up. Otherwise I will never really give it up.

So I am going to work on the emotional stuff first and then work on getting soft drink out of my diet.

Remembering that while I may have given up, there are always opportunities to do it again in the future. So I am not too concerned, as long as one day its out of my life. 2 months ago

I have one year old twin boys, who are very active. I fit my study in when they sleep, or before they get up in the morning, which may mean 5am. My husband is very supportive which also helps.

I also take them to the library where they either end up playing or have a sleep. While they are doing that I fit in some study. Biscuits at times are my best friend at time, especially since one of them now loves to scream.

Hope this helps :) 3 months ago

of how I will keep my sanity while stopping my soft drink consumption. I am sure to go somewhat mad. I think initially it will be a lot of sleeping and walks. As well as other things to keep me distracted. 3 months ago
