The Tortilla Curtain by T. C. Boyle. It was a little overdone but I really liked it. 5 months ago
So cute! I’m doing something similar. It’s too easy to pin and pin and pin into infinity without actually making anything. 5 months ago
I tried a treatment I saw for ants. It takes a while so I don’t know if it has worked yet. 5 months ago
Pinterest is fun but the ENTIRE day could be wasted just clicking away at all the wonderful things that are possible to do.
So far I’ve tried one recipe and 3 hairstyles. 5 months ago
Glow in the dark nail polish. I have the sneaky suspicion I’m too old for this but I really don’t care :-) 5 months ago
cous-cous- not too sure about this one. The texture is unfamiliar. I’ll have to try it done another way to make a final verdict. 6 months ago
The Wooing of Beppo Tate by C. Everald Palmer. It’s a children’s book I always wanted to read since I read My Father Sun-Sun Johnson in high school. 6 months ago

This is in keeping with my overall goal of using my stuff. I don’t want to remain trapped in the cycle of accumulation because no matter my justifications for my actions, it really is just greed.
There is information in them there books and I need to get it into my head. I have a lot of textbooks which I only read a chapter or two of and had promised myself I would read in their entirety. I have language books I bought, craft books, novels, books on philosophy…. The introduction of e-books hasn’t helped either. Thanks to e-books I have more books than perhaps I could read in a lifetime of just reading (no eating or sleeping). I’ve been reading some already.
I don’t think it would be rational of me to say I’ll read them all before I buy new ones. I might need to buy a particular book for work or burning desire or some other immediate interest. I only get to consider buying other books if I have been reading the ones I have. 6 months ago
That mixture sounds interesting. It’s been a week now and the furniture is still shiny and the oil isn’t sticky or rancid as I feared it would eventually become! 6 months ago
I was not disciplined with this goal. Once work resumed I had far less time to do anything but I should have met the challenge just the same.
