a couple things.
I did however take this {Imaginary} board and see how many table tops I can get from it the size I need and then the left over wood I want cut into sections 20” x 12” to paint on.
I can get 4 tables and 4 boards to paint on IF it’s cut perfect. NOW who the hell can cut perfect, Home depot said they would cut the wood for me but they didn’t say they would cut it 7 times. LMAO.

My dad was GREAT at making anything: he was such a talented man. SOOO, I need to create 3 table tops. Two will be mosaiced eventually. The other one I will put in my studio as a top over an existing table I need some extra room and if I make the table top just a few inches larger all way round, whooo hoooo I will have some big ass table.
NOW: How to make that happen.

I created these characters for my Great Niece/Nephew. I took a year long art class called Lifebook 2012 last year and one of the teachers Juliet Crane taught us to draw her signature animals. I just thought the brown babies would like to have them. THe other photo is in the comments. 3 months ago

I just in August moved over 2000 miles to CA. Seems for me to that settled life is not for me. ALTHOUGH, I feel that is changing.
I moved to CA to live with Uncle from 43T, so it’s a big lot of change for us as well. We bought a house and have been working since august on integrating our families. LOLOLOL I have been a single mom for a long long long time and before that a single ME. It’s taking some getting used to living with others {besides my two children, who are not really little kids either}.

make you feel bad. Age has little to do with heart and soul communication whether it’s siblings, parents, lovers or friends. I have many friends of different ages. Friendship is about love, respect, honor, giving of yourself freely. You are indeed better off without that sort of person in your life.
I’m glad you see the value in true friends. Your age doesn’t bother me none. Of course I am older then you but hey what the hell, right.

I love notebooks of all kinds, I have several going at one time.
3 are art related, one is quotes and the other is well it’s called a mood journal. I only put dried flowers in there in the form of pictures, there is no writing.
I love our digital age but I also have a huge dislike for it. I love the written word and there is something special about getting a hand written letter or holding an actual book rather then a kindle.

Osho. I also love quotes, I have several books where I’ve saved them over time. It’s so funny, my son will be 16 in two weeks and for several years he has been collecting quotes. It’s kinda cool to see a young man so interested in words and the power they have.

I am a few months away from my 48th birthday and you are right if there is something you want strive for it in your 30’s. I feel that being in my 40’s and even closer to 50 that it’s time for resting. I don’t know if I will make sense but I have worked since I was a kid either in the fields picking fruits or at a real job when old enough and I feel that this age is bringing me into my own. I know me better and most importantly I am so much more comfortable with me now. When I was 32 I had my last child and I wouldn’t change that at all {he will be 16 in two weeks} but I am glad those days are behind me and I can enjoy life now and find the joy that I know is waiting for me. I am sorry if my thoughts were all over the place. I am an ADD person and I have not had my meds for a while {had to find a Dr. here in CA} 3 months ago

THat takes me deeper in my EXPLORE goal for the year and will really expand my art in a new direction. I am so glad your sweetie and you are adjusting it’s so so so hard to move to anther city, state or whathaveyou. I know I am happier here then ever but I still miss my family and friends something terrible.
You are so RIGHT about needing to feel the earths energy. I think that is another reason I LOVE gardening or plants so much. It’s the energy that nature provides is so healing and soothing to my soul.

I love art journaling and painting: Art has kept my sanity for the past several years. Things were tough and my art saved my hiney on a number of times:
I’m with you I need creative time in order for my soul to be happy. I also consider my gardening being creative. I love sewing quilts and right now I am in the process of learning all I can about fabric journals and art dolls.. fabric/paper dolls. I have made lots of bags but that is about it. My SHM just bought me a new sewing machine and I’m a bit afraid to use it. LOLOL I keep on using the old old one that I sew paper with.
I would like to learn to crochet better, well actually I was gifted this huge box of different yarns and some of them are so pretty and thing delicate and I want to make some flowers out of some of it. I don’t see that happening since I Have no patience when it comes to crocheting.
I think it’s very cool you making things for your son. When my children were little I made them all sort of pillows and little things like that. I am just rambling away, I’m sorry.
Do you belong to Facebook there are a lot of really good artjournaling groups and so many good sites. I am taking this rather large long class called Lifebook 2013 it’s a year long class with about 20 different teachers. I love learning all these different ways of doing things and being creative.
