How I did it: I worked my butt off all through high school to get really good grades. I went to a church school that had really great scholarships. At my local state school I only got a quarter tuition scholarship, but at my church school I got a guaranteed full tuition scholarship as long as I maintained my grades every year. I tool 14 - 17 credits every semester, went year round, and got a Bachelors in Health Science in 2 years and 7 months. Read how I did it… 4 months ago

How I did it: I used my university's career center to find one. They had a big list of internships available for my particular major. Then I just got in contact with the guy over the internship and we got everything arranged. Read how I did it… 4 months ago

My skin has improved so much since I stopped picking. Honestly, it has pretty much cleared up entirely. I maybe get a pimple once or twice a week, but before I broke this habit, I broke out daily. I’m still amazed that picking made such a huge difference. Back when I was a picker I convinced myself I was helping my skin, but now I realized I was making things so much worse.
How I did it: I printed out a calendar and taped it to my bathroom mirror. Every night I would put a sticker on that day if I didn't pick my skin at all. I made a goal of getting 15 stars on that calendar. My reward was to go to a doughnut shop in town. It was the only thing that worked for me! I haven't had a problem picking my skin since. I haven’t been able to go 7 days straight. The most I have been able to do is 2 days, and then I start picking which makes me feel discouraged so I end up giving up for a few days. But Over the weekend I decided to make a calendar for this month and put it on my mirror. Every night I put a star on that day if I haven’t picked at my face. It totally feels like I am a little kid again, but it has worked! Today is my third day in a row without picking. I also changed the reward requirements. Instead of 7 days straight, I just have to have 15 stars on my calendar and then my husband is going to take me to get a doughnut. It makes it a lot less discouraging if I pick once because I can start over the next day! 18 months ago

How I did it: I took a public speaking class last semester at my university. I was dreading taking the class but I decided to just get it over with. It ended up being a wonderful experience. I learned so much about preparing a speech and tips for delivering it well. I would definitely recommend taking a class about this. It made me a much better speaker than I ever thought possible and made me a lot less fearful of speaking in front of people. Read how I did it… 19 months ago

I have been wanting to quit this habit for several months now but I will go a little while with being good and then totally destroy my face. Last night I made the goal to not pick at my face at all for an entire week. I talked to my husband about this because I need someone to hold me accountable. We also agreed that if I go until next Wednesday without picking at my face once then he will take me to get cake doughnuts! :) So far so good! 19 months ago

How I did it: I saved all my life. You have to have a lot of self control to not touch the money you save. I would try to always put half of my pay check into my savings when I was still living at home. Another good thing is to have a budget. I keep track of all my spending and check my bank account frequently. Also it helped to get married and start getting grants. If I have left over money from grants or scholarships, I put every penny into a special savings account that I only use for school expenses. Read how I did it… 23 months ago
