You may think this is a good idea, but let me tell you – it’s not. I was a silly teenager who wanted to be different, and now I’m older with a horrible scar on my face. I was silly enough to have both my upper and lower lip pierced so that’s two ugly scars. I know what you’re thinking “I will never take it out blah blah” but you will eventually, and the longer you leave it the worse the scarring will be. Do you want to end up with an ugly mark on your face for the rest of your life just to look fashionable as a teenager? Not just scarring on the outside – there is scarring on the inside as well. It will leave a big lump of scar tissue on the inside as it’s healing, and it will stay there even after you take it out. If we’re talking about a bottom lip piercing you will not be able to resist the urge to play with the flat back of the labret with your teeth, meaning now I have one front tooth which is more worn down that the other. Just remember, regrets are for later. Do you really want to be left with an ugly scar until the day you die? Oh, and not to mention the £50 I spend on them which definitely could have been spent better. 23 months ago

I thought about it before getting it done, not really a spur of the moment thing but turned out to be too much trouble than what it was worth. Now I’ve taken it out it’s left a HORRIBLE scar right smack bang in the middle of my face. You probably just think “I’ll never take it out, so it doesn’t matter about the scar” but you will eventually, and the longer you leave it – the worse the scarring is going to be. It also leaves a horrible lump inside your mouth when you get it pierced known as the scar tissue – nobody told me about that so now I’m left with a horrible scar and a gross lump. I’ve learnt my lesson from being a silly teenager and now I’ve to be reminded of it for the rest of my life with a mark on my face for everyone to see. 23 months ago
