Running is on hold right now due to a bout with diverticulitis. So, I will be swimming most of the summer and take running up again in the Fall. Same goal, just postponed. 11 months ago
I wanted to add the goal just so I could say I did it. I’ve been looking for a while. I did it by being persistent, sending resumes and ultimately networking, networking, networking. The job is a step up, much more money, better hours and less stress. 11 months ago
My knees hurt too, and you probably already know this, but the way I do squats and keep them from hurting is to use the Smith machine and get my feet further out so my knees never go past my feet. It still works all the muscles and does wonders with the pain in my knee.

Last night I did 6.44 miles. I am open to any advice as I seem to have hit a bit of a wall and am unable to add any speed or even do longer intervals in my time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 13 months ago
Took the last week off from the gym – completely. Had reached the burnout phase of training. Today, starting back up. Planning to run right after work. 13 months ago
