How I did it:
Pure random luck, I guess. The more stones you turn, the better chance you can find the treasure underneath.
Being flexible might be a good approach. I started my job search according to my industrial and geographic preference. After multiple major setbacks, I began to apply for jobs in any industry and at any location desperately. Then the result turned out to be a job with the function I do not actually love most, and a location not my top choice. But it has a fat six figure salary and a Fortune top 20 brand, so hope it might be a good step stone for a future career switch.
