JulesFrustrated

I’ve been studying Mandarin Chinese for almost 6 months now. I decided to major in International Languages and chose Chinese as my starting point. At first it was very straight forward and a lot of fun; however, i feel that a good portion of that ‘fun’ was due to my previous professor.

This is my second semester and now that I’m progressing into sentence structure and grammar I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. My current professor is very cut and dry which makes absorbing new information difficult. The class is also moving very fast and requires significantly more than the previous semester; even though it is all the material/books.

I shouldn’t be complaining and I knew from the beginning that learning a language would not be a task i could take lightly. I just need to keep pushing forward. 2 years ago

JulesWork Study

I decided to donate some materials to the Art department at my college and ran into one of my old professors. Long story short they’re in need of a student employee in his department and he immediately put in a request. I filled out all the necessary paperwork to start the hiring process and should have a part-time job in the next two weeks. 2 years ago

JulesWeek 1

I started rock climbing at an indoor facility and i’m loving it. The people are very helpful and open to assisting newbies with the more difficult “problems”. I’ve even made a few friends in the process! I’m planning to go at least 3 times a week. Hopefully i can make this into a routine and not let it fall off the map. 2 years ago
