wrengreat!

Good luck! 5 hours ago

wrenI think you're brave to write about this.

Having struggled with depression myself, I know how hard it can be admit it to anyone.

Congratulations on getting out there with your art and on your decision to lay off alcohol.

If you’re looking into psychiatrists to have someone to talk to, you may find that a therapist is less expensive and better. It seems like psychiatrists nowadays mainly prescribe medications. A good family practitioner can probably prescribe an antidepressant. 5 hours ago

wrenyes!

That’s exactly it. I feel like I have to do it because I said I would, but when I’m balking at the time it will take. 6 hours ago

wrenI thought of you when we were there. :)

It was a lovely day. I didn’t enjoy touring the castle, because it was just too crowded. But we had a very nice lunch at a little restaurant oasis in the castle, and then we walked all over the gardens. We walked to the very end of the property, which was a long way. It was so peaceful and pretty. We found a secluded bench and had a nice nap. I loved, loved, loved Marie Antoinette’s country farm and the English gardens surrounding it. We also got to enjoy some “dancing waters” fountain and music shows. We walked over sixteen miles on that day! 6 hours ago

wrenSpring at last!

Hooray!!! 1 day ago

wrenI like them, too!

Wow, I’ve never heard of a hearing person who couldn’t listen to music. Life would be much flatter without our tunes. When we visited the gardens of Versailles (just recently!), we went on a day when period music was played in the gardens. That was a wonderful surprise.

I’m still having a hard time figuring out the exact definition of a hipster. In Kerouac days, hipster was a good thing, but it seems to no longer be the case.1 day ago

wrenOoops!

I’m sorry this is late, but hopefully you are enjoying extended birthday celebrations! Here’s to the coming TeenyBean year. May it be filled with joy and contentment. 2 days ago

wrenI really appreciate you asking me about this.

I seem to have lost my initial enthusiasm, so your asking has got me thinking about it again. I need to enroll in the class, and I need to commit to a workable schedule for completing the classes. 2 days ago

wrenhaha!

I’ll do my best to stay on your good side. :) 3 days ago

wrenWe have a short growing season.

This year, I’m going to break away from my usual favorites and plant either a butterfly, hummingbird or fragrance garden. 3 days ago

wrengeneric Zyrtec

is what I use when my allergies are bad, one OTC pill one time a day. It helps. I get allergy shots, too, but that’s more long-term solution. 3 days ago

wreneep!

I haven’t enrolled yet. I decided to wait until I got back from Paris, which just happened this week.

Thank you for asking! :) 3 days ago

wrenIt was love at first sight

How long is the wait? 4 days ago

wrenGreat!

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I only just received e-mail notification of your comment. I’ve added you to the list. You’re the first 8/26 birthday on this list. :) 6 days ago

wrenI'm not concerned,

mainly for the reasons you mentioned and also because of this. 1 week ago

wrenCool that you visited it!

I didn’t even know it existed. :)

I did take some classes at the Zen Center was a nice place. The monks there were very real. 1 week ago

wrenAnnoying situation.

I would find it distracting and would probably lapse into lots of judgmental thinking, which is uncomfortable.

If it’s possible, you could use this as an opportunity to refine your concentration. Meditation is filled with distractions, sometimes external, sometimes internal, and the ultimate response is to simply note that you are distracted and return to your meditation.

Hard to do, I know! This is one of the reasons I’m not currently doing yoga in a classroom setting! On the other hand, it reminds me of some Buddhist stuff I’ve read about ignoring a fly while it is buzzing around your meditating head. 1 week ago

wrenI have been.

If I’m feeling sad or am depressed to begin with, then the approach of a birthday is just another thing to feel blue about. 2 weeks ago

wrenyou're welcome!

I’m glad my little goal helped you. I wasn’t able to come up with 43 things, and I really tried! 2 weeks ago
