The Evil Weed: progress update  — 6 months ago

Today, at 6pm, it will be exactly a week since I quit smoking.

I am feeling pretty proud of myself. Still struggling with after-dinner cravings and other habitual stuff, but over all I am managing not too badly.

This is probably the most positive stopping-smoking experience yet. Which means I have high hopes that it will be the last!

No Smoking Update  — 6 months ago

I’ve done three days! Yay!

My god, I really wanted a cigarette today… Had a bit of work stress and then I had to endure my first traffic jam sans nicotine.

Thankfully I was able to battle my way through the craving, and the traffic, with the help of a large McDonalds meal.

I figure it was the least of two evils.

I have just started using 43 things (www.43things.com).

Since I like a challenge, love lists and can be quite hard on myself if I don’t complete them, it looks like the perfect site!

I have 15 things so far.

I think that’s enough to be going on with for the moment.

So, stopping smoking. It’s the big one. And I’ve already started! In one hour’s time I will not have smoked for 48 hours… One small step at a time ;-)
