I don’t have any beautiful creatures here, unless you count me and my daughter….. pretty Chloe, cheers to you! You will live in the hearts of many for a long time to come. I copied your picture here so everyone can be reminded how precious you are.

I wish you many golden pastures and butterflies to chase.

I was always closer to my cats than I was to the dogs we had growing up. Not that the dogs weren’t good pets, mind you. The Danes just slept with my parents while it was the Siamese who slept with me.

Even though I still have vivid memories of having to make that final decision, it’s my memories of the love we shared that fills my heart every time I think of Cocoa. I remember the sound of her purr when I’d stroke her beneath her chin. I remember how soft her coat felt, and the kink in her tail. I remember how much she weighed as she sat on my shoulders as I carried her between my house and my grandparents’ so that she didn’t have to walk through the snow. I remember seeing her on the ledge outside Grandma’s kitchen window letting us know she wanted in. I remember the feel of her curled up between my legs in bed each night.

It’s these kinds of memories that will linger for Chloe. So cheers to you Chloe as you begin a new journey.
