6: Tyler Hansbrough and UNC.

Both my grandfather and my dad went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, so I’m Tarheel born and Tarheel bred and when I die I’ll be Tarheel dead. I love the school itself; the oldness and grandeur, but the atmosphere is just as enticing to me.
The UNC Men’s Basketball team is in the Final Four this year- thanks to their All-American and ACC MVP Tyler Hansbrough. His passion and intense personality make me want to meet him so badly! He seems really awesome and I’m pretty much in love with him.

7: Books.

I always have a book to read. I don’t care what the books is about, as long as I’m learning or being entertained by it. Or both. Books make me feel good.

8: Laughing.

They say laughter is the best medicine, but I think it’s more than that. It can bring people together in matter of seconds, it can make someone fall in love or forget their troubles. I don’t know of any (legal!) medicines that can do all that. I laugh a lot, some may say too much, but I think no one can never get enough.

3: Music

I’m always listening to music. I have about 2000 songs on my iPod, but I’m always finding more. I’m addicted to exploring new genres and old bands that have pretty much gone off of the radar. I really do like all types of music. I get really annoyed when people are like “I’m obsessed with music, it’s my life! But I hate…” country, or rap, or whatever.

4: Volleyball

I’ve been playing volleyball since I was 10 years old. I’ve played 7 seasons. That’s more than most Seniors. By the time I graduate, I’ll have played 11 seasons. I play for school and for a junior olympic team. It takes up most of my time and energy, but of course it’s worth it. It means more to me than I can write.

5: Food

I’ve been vegetarian for three years, but I still like all kind of foods that I can eat. I really really enjoy eating what I want. I’m not one of those people who freaks out over eating all healthy or not at all; I know I’ll burn it off later playing volleyball.

#2: My best friends. 7 months ago

Kaitlyn. We met playing volleyball for AFVC. I can tell her all my thoughts and she understands them completely, and doesn’t judge me. We have amazing heart-to-hearts about everything, from family drama to boys to school. These days, it’s almost impossible to find such a genuinely sincere person as she is. She knows what to say to get me out of a bad mood. It’s amazing to me that we can go to different schools and stay as tight as we are.

Maggie. We’re opposite in almost every physical way.. she’s brunette, pale, short, and dresses a lot better than me :). Also, she’s emotional.. blame it on her Italian ancestry. But none of this matters because of how much I love her. She has the best sense of humor to match her awesome sense of style. We make fun of each other all the time but it’s all for fun.

Rachel. Oh gosh. Everytime I see her we have funny stories to tell each other. We’re a lot alike in that we can see the humor in almost anything. She also has better fashion sense than me…I’m noticing a trend here! She’s an excersize freak too, so that makes me feel better about how much I work out. She said she doesn’t want me to go to college far away. I could see us going somewhere together.. if I can convince her to go to UNC!

Lauren. Without a doubt the nicest person I’ve ever been friends with. Her sweetness balances out my sarcasm and cynisism.. basically she makes me a better person. But she’s not afraid to stick up for me if someone tries to get on my case. I love her.

#1: My family. 7 months ago

I live with my mom. She always forgives me for being a total brat. She sacrifices so much so I can do what I want. I know she loves me more than anything in the world, but I love her more.

My sister is in college. It’s her freshman year; I’m just getting used to her being gone. She’s my best friend. We fight all the time, but our good times (even if they last ten minutes) outweigh all the bad. Even little things like going out to eat or shopping can be turned in to the best of times with her. She is the reason I started playing volleyball, which will come up a little later in the list.

They went to Spain for two weeks last summer. I never thought I could miss anyone so much. Seeing them at the airport was probably one of the best sights of my life.
