to dream the impossible dream

it seems cruel really. You spend your life wanting the man of your dreams and then you find him, but there’s a snag. You are just too old to deliver what he wants and needs. Worse than that. You’ve spent 20 years wanting to share the rare experience of childbirth.. but you were married for 20 years to someone who really never wanted them and made pregnancy and delivery a misery (ie me, in throes of labour = him, “I don’t know what you’re making all that fuss for”). Now I’ve met the right man. We have a chance and we’re gonna go for it.
