Do a holiday card exchange in 2008 among my 43things friends

The 2008 Holiday Stamps are now available from the US Postal Service. Of course I have already ordered mine! No time to go to the post office, go to www.usps.com where for a $1 delivery charge you can order stamps online and have them delivered in a few days.

Rubber stamps, paint, stickers ~ can’t wait to get started on this!

Since so many of the people who have participated in this in the past are in the United States, I would not be adverse to assisting “you foreignors” with this goal.

Instead of sending individual cards from your home country to the states, I would be willing to accept a parcel of all of your US cards and send them from here. (you of course would have to have them addressed and stamped, for which I am willing to send you stamps if you PayPal me the money)

I would think, although I am not certain, that sending a parcel to me and paying the US domestic postal rates would be cheaper than all those individual stamps from your home.

Domestic US postage is now 42 cents US.

Drop me a line if you think you want to give it a go, of course this would require a little advance planning.

I dug out last year’s list and will be adding the new names to this years list. No, don’t worry, I will not post that list on here, nor will I share the ‘old’ names. It jsut makes doing the addresses that much easier for me by starting early, very early.

making my own cards this year…I admired all of those who did their own last year and was inspired by their creativity! :-)

I wonder if it would be cheaper for the international people to put all their US cards in a box and send it to one of their US friends to post.

Posting 60 cards to the US from abroad would be expensive, but putting 60 cards in a box, sending it to a friend to post, and sending that friend domestic US postage might be cheaper.

OR – have one of your US friends send over the stamps so you can do them yourself, then send the whole box of cards to the friend, and have them open it and mail the pre-address and pre-stamped cards.

A little international cooperation would be a great holiday gesture!
