have a great autumn to follow the summer

..is wonderful. The leaves are EVERYWHERE and it so fun just to kick them up and play in them. Even thought its pretty much winter, it feel most like fall today :)

It’s still technically Autumn, although I always think of winter at starting earlier than solstice. In any event, December ends up being a busy month. Anniversary, birthday, solstice, Christmas…

We spent our anniversary in Charleston. It’s a nice little city to wander through.

Other happy things…
As a present to myself, I got some very nice plush towels. My friend who was shopping with me didn’t quite understand, but I do have a decadent streak that manages to break through now and then.

its been insanely busy and ive learnt alot but i’ve gotten through it (with minor hic ups eg 2 colds)

im very proud with myself at juggling everything so far and hopefully my results will be good (i still have 3 exams but they are in winter :p )

the only thing i havent done is met enough new people, i think i will attempt that for winter(despite my nice idea of staying in by the fire all winter with books?)

but looking back, its been good guys!! crunchy leaves and all!!

Clearly, I should go to more concerts.

Tonight, I got to see a legend.
And though it’s called the blues, I just get happy listening to it.

Yesterday I had a wonderful day. In the morning my husband made my breakfast, then we went to the Cornishe to walk the dog. After that we cleaned all the house for hours, but somehow I really enjoyed that too (strange)and we didn’t stop for hours, so now the flat is really sparkling (first time in years). After that I had kickbox aerboics, then brought out the dog again just for a very short time, then went to La Cigale hotel to meet with friends. We drunk hot chocolate and ate cakes on the terrace, had a nice chat, I really enjoyed it. After that we walked on the Cornishe again with our friends, then went for shopping and finally returned home. But still not end of the day, we brought out Lola again for an evening alk, the temperature was cool and enjoyable, then I had a shower, read my book and about the rest you don’t have to know…

So I think with this I will mark this goal as done. Although here the weather is still the same as summer in Europe, the real summer is unimaginable hot, so this pleasant weather is autumn. But December for me symbolizes winter, so I’m going to move on for my winter goal.

It really was a great autumn, when I was still in Hungary, I experienced the real autumn feeling with all the colourful leaves and chilly weather and when I came back to Doha I achieved what I wanted: I found a good job.
In the first one and half month of the autumn I spent lots of time with my friends, so I think everything was great.

now it’s getting too cold to really appreciate fall. :( but it has been absolutely wonderful so far! The best part is waking up on chilly Saturday mornings and watching old cartoons..mmmm. The sun seems to shine with a light more golden than ever, especially when it reflects off of someone’s eyes. I had a crush, and he had beautiful eyes. Gorgeous, green with almost gold streaks. The twinkled in the sun like bubbling wine :). Im getting a cold now, but it’s still worth it. I bought a pretty scarf, and I love wearing those warm autumn colors! This is what fall is for…burning your tongue on tea that’s a little too hot, lightly layering your clothing, watching the wind kick up the leaves..its like nothing else.

It’s very hard to keep thinking autumn. I’m just going to dress warm and continue on and hold the memory of what a beautiful fall I’ve had so far. There is still another month of autumn to go and I want to have it all.

My friends’ newborn baby! I listened to her heartbeat this summer while she was still in utero and finally got to put a face to the sound. She is tiny and beautiful with her Dad’s dark complexion and hair. Holding her makes time slow down and surroundings disappear and for the few short minutes that she was in my arms she was the most important thing in the world. So for as much as I wish summer could have lasted longer, I’m glad autumn took its turn and made meeting my new baby friend possible.
