and I am so grateful.

I have despised this process and have been ornery as hell on the way to opening. Not towards the other women in the cast (we are fellow witchy women) but to a couple of the men. Despicable!

It has taken a lot out of me – almost zapped my witchiness right out. On election night I had three photos taken of me with my head on other people’s shoulders which really said to me “I am zapped and I need physical affection and support” perhaps in the Railroad Man’s absence?

Yeah. So now I am pondering – what to do to ummm.. how do I word this? How to get some affection, just the young kid, kissing and cuddling kind of affection?

I have also noticed (rather witchingly) that people are talking to me at an increased rate. I have always been a person to talk to people, out of the blue, about anything. Well, now people are talking to me first. Today this man with an intriguing accent, large muscles and a well chiseled face spoke to me for a while. He was from Switzerland to top it all off.

I find it fascinating, too, my fixation lately on the burly men. Burly, muscled, strong sorts like tall, dark, handsome although I don’t care about the dark part… nor the tall… nor the conventionally handsome, but I want strong. I think it goes back to the hankering for “being taken care of” in a cavewoman/caveman sense.

So – here I am, curlers in my hair, preparing to get made up in late 1960’s early 1970’s fashion and connect with the audience tonight.

After the show I am prepared to put a spell on some muscled man of perhaps few words who perhaps I can entice in a no-commitment-at-all make-out session. ^shrugs sounds like a shallow witch! And rebellious, so I suppose it fits!

So glad Railroad Man will be back Tuesday.

Why It’s Dangerous to Be a Witch During a Recession

I had a writing group that is held on the phone. Things were going well except my writing wasn’t flowing. I was frustrated.

I was sitting at a desk in Railroad Man’s room while he took a shower.

Well, you know how it is when you are on the phone, this is when everyone (and I mean everyone) wants to come out and play.

Well, this was too hilarious to pass up and yes, there is a mute button for this call so Railroad Man and I….

and I rolled off, onto the pillows and laughed myself silly.

LOL.

and then I unmuted and made some comments about the last person’s writing and some technical problems with my phone

So next time you are on a conference call and the person reports technical problems, better find out if they are a rebellious witch whore! wink

The man whose personal ad was the inspiration for this goal has updated his page, and now offers explanation as to why is is, and I quote, “not under the authority of any man made government”.

A sample of his explanation:

“God made it clear that His Word, which contains His law, is sufficient for all aspects of life. There is no need for any other laws. To say there is a need for more laws is to call God a liar. Either His Word IS sufficient for all aspects of life or it is not. God says it IS! Are you calling God a liar?”

Am I calling God a liar?! Nope, cos I don’t believe God exists. It would be pointless. Oh, and also:

“Man’s laws are always of Satan and produce a society that continually grows further and further away from God. To wit: America!!!”

Blimey.

Not to worry. I shall carry on regardless with my brain-having, authority-questioning, Quorn-eating, large-breasted, frequent-weeing, curvy-assed, wine-slugging, potty-mouthed, child-wanting, sexually voracious liberal ways, glad that there are still a few wankers like this in the world to help me appreciate the freedom I relish in my rebellious witch whoredom.

I think it does!

I know, you never thought you would hear that string of words all in a row “Bakersfield Rebellious Witch Whores” but for goodness sakes, we hold an annual all-women’s art show and call it a Witch Burning just for the attention!

I know, we even look somewhat normal... in a later photo you can even check out the witchy socks!

“Any deviation from this it NOT a Godly Christian wife but is rather a rebellious witch and whore. Most of Christendom is filled with rebellious witch whores.”

That was the statement that started this goal. I have to admit I was a little surprised when Lisa invited me to adopt this goal. I mean she’s met me, and while I’m definitely rebellious, occasionally a whore, and sometimes a witch, I tend to picture this as a goal that women would adopt, not guys like me who write in run-on sentences.

The more I thought about it though, the happier I was that Lisa knew I would relish the opportunity to share yet another side of my squirrelly nature. I admit it. I am a rebellious witch whore. I fully support women’s equality, and have gone out of my way to promote or hire women. I believe that women are stronger than men in the things that truly matter. I believe that Hillary would have made a better President than Obama or McCain (though I don’t feel the same way about Palin). I believe that Madonna is the ultimate role model for young women as she has constantly made decisions about where to go in her life, reinventing herself for the times, and not letting men dictate what she can and cannot do.

I love rebellious witch whores and would let them be my life partner any day of the week.

and this scene really hit home.

The movie is about the famous courtesan and poet, Veronica Franco. I found it very interesting and entertaining. One of her quotes: “When we too are armed and trained, we can convince men that we have hands, feet, and a heart like yours; and although we may be delicate and soft, some men who are delicate are also strong; and others, coarse and harsh, are cowards. Women have not yet realized this, for if they should decide to do so, they would be able to fight you until death; and to prove that I speak the truth, amongst so many women, I will be the first to act, setting an example for them to follow.”

In one of the scenes, Veronica’s best friend told her that a nun had warned her daughter to not be too inquisitive and to not cultivate her mind by saying to her that “promiscuity of the mind leads to promiscuity of the body.”
