I never ever exercise. :( This needs to change.
1. I need to excercise my shouder (it hurts more lately).
2. Lose my spare tire.
3. Strengthen my heart and lungs.
These are the things I want to focus on right now. I shall begin tonight!

the pool hours at my alma mater. I also checked out the pool at another college that’s closer, but there doesn’t appear to be community access to that one. Anyway, it looks like though morning would be ideal, it will have to be evenings and weekends that I would go, b/c of my work schedule. But will try to get there once this week. Would have to be Tues., Wed., or Fri. Will go find my gear tonight in the basement.

I was just looking at the pool hours at my alma mater and thought I would go tomorrow, but then hubby reminded me that SIL is having game night so now the thought of two evening activities is stressing me out, even though doing the swimming would actually help relieve some stress.
Bah.

The more I focus on doing this, and then don’t, then I focus on that I haven’t, and why haven’t I, and why can’t I, and I don’t, and I suck, etc. This goal is not having the desired motivational effect, and it’s contrary to my “Do” goal. Doh.
But we are planning to ski tomorrow.

I am not eating well and there are a lot of calories!! My first poor area is the amount of water I take in. Today for instance I only took in 2 cups..yep. Some days I don’t have any. And the number of calories I took in today were over the daily amount by 1,ooo. :(
So, first, I’m going to try and increase my water intake.

I’ve joined SparkPeople now also fidgie. You’re right, there are a lot of “bells and whistles” that go with this site. I’m going to give it a go again and not give up this time!!!

Well, I have found SparkPeople. My hope is that using that site for tracking my eating, exercise and weight loss will help me make the changes I need to make to realize this goal. Obviously I find tracking very motivating or I wouldn’t be so into 43T. I think of SparkPeople as a 43T for fitness, but with more bells and whistles, along with specific help – recipes, reports, forums, exercises to do – I’m going to give it a try. Can’t hurt!! The hard numbers are already making me think. For example, I ate three pieces of french toast this morning for breakfast. That’s half the calories I should be eating for the day!! I had no idea it was that much. On the plus side, I didn’t know my ski of yesterday burned so many, either. I need all the help I can get on this one, so SparkPeople, here I come.

This is a x-post but I need all the help I can get on my “exercise” goal, and it was honest to goodness exercise, so I’m countin’ it here too!! I think I need to shift this one up the list. About a week ago, I put on pants that I bought this summer and they are a little tight. Of course that’s not the pants’ fault . . . BF has a Nordic Track in the basement so might give that a try. There is a TV so that can’t be bad.

I took an abs class tonight and it was very interesting. I bought the DVD mainly because I was afraid to forget the exercises but they basically consist of mindful breathing and contracting the abdominal muscles in certain ways to work all the layers. I can feel it, so it must have done something . . . it’s things you can do a few minutes a day wherever you are . . .
Lilyfairy and I are going to try a swim one night, too.
Plus, I already walk the dog daily for 30-60 minutes.
