Today my thesis has 43 pages!

I almost forgot to report here that I got permission to register, and that I’m now registered with a new student card and a parking disk and all.

Here’s hoping that it will be the last year!

Today I submitted the application for extension of study period. Hopefully this will be the final year I need to register.

On Tuesday something important happened. Out of the blue a co-supervisor was appointed for me. My supervisor is too busy to give me the attention he would like to, so he appointed a right-hand man to guide me.

It’s mostly a skeleton, but my thesis stands at 40 pages.

OK, now I got the big guns working for me. Not on the academic stuff, but the psychological stuff, that’s much more difficult.

Today I discovered a new way of comparing signals. Being able to cross-compare give me either confidence in the instrument or throw me into doubt again.

It’s Saturday evening and I’m sitting with a clipboard and a pen thinking of circuits and algebra. Is this a sign that I’m getting serious about finishing?

Oh, and I’m officially registered, too.

Yesterday I got the message that all the signatures had been collected for my permission to register, and that I will be registered as soon as the re-registration fee reflects in my student account.

Today I handed in my registration papers. I need special permission from the Dean to continue this year. It’ll take some time before I’m formally registered.

Today I initiated the purchasing process of an expensive piece of software. I hope this is the sign that I’ve progressed past the point of fiddling with hardware and is going to produce reams of beautiful date.
